GUILTY
From the APP:
Democratic Party boss John A. Lynch Jr. is scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court, Newark, today, apparently to plead guilty to corruption and tax evasion charges. He faces possible prison time.
All reference to Lynch has been removed from the web site of what is now apparently is his former law firm.
Robert Menendez is said to be meeting with his consultants frantically editing their commercials that call the US Attorney's office partisan hacks reporting to Karl Rove.

Getting Lynch to plead out does not a clean Christie make. Lynch left a pretty wide trail.
Now if Christie goes after Lynch's Republican buddies and not just the obvious Democrat ones, then I'll be impressed.
Lynch was more affiliated with Republicans, especially in Monmoouth, than he was anyone else. This is not to say that ALL Republicans were his stooges, just a healthy percentage of them.

Christie's gone after Republicans as much as Democrats. I'm sure if Lynch's Republican "buddies" were engaged in any corruption, Christie will focus on them.

And what percentage would "healthy" be, Jim??? Most Republicans I know find Lynch kind of creepy.
Jackie, let's also not forget that we have a new State Attorney General coming on board, Stuart Rabner, who is said to have an excellent reputation as a crimefighter. His office can also go after Lynch associates of both parties, as can the office of Monmouth County Prosecutor Luis Valentin.
OK Abe:
Let's talk about some Republicans who don't find Lynch creepy...
I'll save the room because you know the list.
You know where I'm going with this and it's fair. I'm not saying EVERY. I'm saying important leaders from Middletown, Marlboro and yes...Matawan...deserve to have a problem.
You can't say "We're all fine over here" and not deal with the problem. Hey, in public, say whatever. But in private, you folks should be getting something done in my opinion.
The GOP threw OUT people like Beverly because she did the RIGHT thing. It wasn't your fault, or Will's, or 99.99% of all Republicans. But there was that .01% that happens to run a lot in the GOP and STILL DOES.

Who's doing that?

I believe Beverly left the part on her own accord, just like you Jim!
Why not ASK BEVERLY? She was trying to do what was right. How was she going to do that when she couldn't get so much as the time of day by the GOP powers that be? Dowd tried to scold her like a child for doing what taxpayers deserved on that board. To her credit, she wouldn't just "fade"...as was wanted. I do not agree with everything she does. But I think she was very brave in office and deserves credit and I give her a lot of credit for becoming a Democrat and not "doing as she was told by the party."
I don't know how anyone feels about "Reagan's 11th Commandment." But I'll just take the first 10 and leave it at that.
This is a stupid arguement. It is clear that there was and is corruption in both parties. neither is cleaner then the other. It needs to be weeded out of both.
I can not wait to see what bucket of scum Christie gets next. If it is a republican that is ok with me. I want them out of my party.
Let me tell you this pack of crooks did not care whatparty won or lost they cared about who could line there pockets.
Any politician no matter the party that has had dealings with crooks needs to be looked at real closely.
