"Sounds to us like she stepped right into it."

Hopefully stepping in it is still good luck, but it looks like Anna Little's resignation from her Highlands Council seat has backfired.

It's hard to argue with the points the APP makes. However, it seemed as though Anna had skillfully put the issue to bed when she announced that she would resign her Highlands seat if elected Freeholder in November. The issue had taken the back burner, but is now back front and center. It could be a major problem for Highlands Republicans. More than likely it will only be a blip on the county level.

On a postive note, the sign campaign appears to be in full swing as the Peters Lucas Little signs are all over. I did hear one Republican suggest that the slogan, Lucas' Little Peter, would be more memorable, but its too late. The signs are printed.

One must remember the APP's goal here: Democratic freeholders. They will talk up the "good government" game from a populist viewpoint, but a Democratic Board will make them a player in the county. Or so they believe.

i think there has to come a time when both parties get fully fed up with the third party: gannett.

the app's goal is democratic freeholders, republican assemblymen and whatever floats their boat in any particular town.

i don't quite know what the solution is or if there is one. i think both parties are between a rock and a hard place when the county's only daily insists on playing powerbroker.

Abe: If the APP's goal was Demcoratic freeholders there would have BEEN democratic freeholders by now.

i don't know what the goal is there. i have to admit i don't get where they're going.

and the APP is the newspaper that ONLY covers republican office holders. they do not give the time of day to democrats. it is a republican paper and maybe the ONLY one in the state, in my opinion.

if you guys can't make it work with them, i suggest the christian science monitor. ; ]

The fact that both parties think the APP favors the other proves they do not favor either.
Thre number one interest is selling papers. Yellow Journalism at its worst.
Their second motivator is that they like to pretend they are moral crusaders. And while they are correct about some issues they have raised they are usually just a bunch of arrogant self serving hypocritical jerks.

No No NO. That's Jim Purcell's goal. The APP from what I gather wanted Anna Little to give up her seat from the GET GO. As soon as she was sworn in as Freeholder.
