Powerful lesson

I chose to use my power as Chairman to punish dissent, instead of healing, bringing people together, and fostering debate without resentment. I learned a powerful lesson – one that I hope the future Chairman will use to success: Power is finite. Once you use it, you immediately begin to lose it. But influence is forever. If you harness your influence, you can see the right ideas come to light, whether they are yours or not.

I was going to comment on Sewards Adam quote and then I read these comments
Brendan Tobin will not even be re-elected to the Tinton Falls counsel. He is very disliked. Rumor has it his own Municipal Chairman does not even support him and that the mayor is going to be Switzerland in the election. Ahhh but we digress.

Will the mayor get an absentee ballot?

The APP reports that Brendan is running for re-election in Tinton Falls

He is running right into a brick wall.
Numerous sources in Tinton Falls confirm that he has no chance.
None of the other counsel members support him. The two people who ran his compaign the first time do not support him.
It is even money that one of his own running mates will realize they made a mistake and will turn on him before the election is over.
If what I am hearing is true this election will be a career ender for Mr. Tobin.

It seems to me that you are very misinformed as to the political pulse in Tinton Falls. Brendan Tobin is runing and will gather the most votes.
