Legislative Candidates Screening Complete

Honest Abe has the results of the legislative screening process.

It is no surprise that there are contested races in the 11th and 12th districts. What is unknown is if Ocean Township Mayor Bill Larkin was eliminated as an Assembly candidate in the 11th or if he declined to screen. Larkin was previously quoted in the Asbury Park Press as questioning the $1000 screening fee and candidly stating that "no one would go on the record as opposing the process."

The Freeholder candidates did not screen yesterday. Freeholder screening has been postponed until a later date.
