Politicnj.com is reporting that former Assistant US Attorney Kim Guadagno could emerge as a stong candidate for Monmouth County Sheriff.
Guadagno is a member of the Monmouth Beach governing body and a candidate for the Republican nomination for Assembly in the 11th district.

Commissioner Kim Guadagno, an Assembly candidate in the 11th District announced today that while she was flattered by the suggestion, she is not a candidate for Monmouth County Sheriff. In published reports, the Assembly candidate was mentioned as a possible successor to Monmouth County Sheriff Joe Oxley. Sheriff Oxley announced to the Republican party leaders on Saturday March 3 that he would not seek re-election to a fifth term.
