Something tells me Pu-Pu is going to regret meeting the editorial board more than he regrets meeting the Marlboro Republican Club.

An email sent to every Marlboro GOP member and a lot of County Repubs by a present member identified "The Woman" as disgruntled defeated councilwoman Patti Morelli. She alledgedly called out Capt. Rajan to settle thier differences outside. (Inside the odds were going towards Morelli by TKO in the 3rd)
But what was most disturbing is Adam Puharic blew it again in Marlboro. He had the opportunity to mend fences and act as a unifying force in Marlboro. Rather he sided with the old guard members and alienated further the faction that split. So guess what Adam...thanks to you, Marlboro will no doubt revert to Democratic Control in two years and there is no one to blame but you.
I was there and this is an accurate depiction of what went on. This was the email sent to me and every GOP member on the mailing list (and more in the County) so take it for what its worth.

AT THIS JUNCTURE, I AM STILL TROUBLED BY THE MARLBORO REPUBLICAN CLUB POST ELECTION MEETING! I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY VOTES WERE TAKEN FROM A GROUP, SOME OF WHOM HAD NOT PAID DUES IN YEARS, HAD NOT BEEN PRESENT FOR THREE OR MORE MEETINGS, ETC. THESE ASPECTS ARE THE RULES OF THE CLUB AND YET WERE IGNORED!
THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY A LACK OF PARLIMENTARY PROCEDURES, YET IT CONTINUED ON, AND ON.
THE MUNCIPAL AND COUNTY CHAIR, DID NOT SEEM TROUBLED THAT THE MEETING WAS RUDELY TAKEN OVER AND RUN IN AN ILLEGAL MANNER!!!!!
I am a long time Marlboro resident, Republican, and former committeewoman. I never thought that the Republicans have so many disrespectful members in Marlboro. The club meeting last week brought some members who were elected officials of the town who really showed their colors, by disrespecting the officers of the club.
I was appalled at the behavior of members like Patti Morelli, who is a councilwoman, and made the most disrespectful comments in public to the presiding officer Capt Rajan, who was trying to conduct the meeting in a professional manner. She was told that she was out of order and asked to sit down. After several requests that she ignored, Capt Rajan told her that if she continued, she would be removed by a police officer. It was unbelievable that Patti yelled at Capt Rajan, I CAN TAKE YOU OUTSIDE AND TAKE YOU DOWN and then made an obscene hand gesture to him in front of more than 40 people. Is that the demeanor of an elected official?
I was shocked and embarrassed to see that LONG time members, and others including the COUNTY CHAIR Adam Puharic and MUNICIPAL CHAIR John Gibardi, witnessed the whole fiasco, and did nothing to stop this disgraceful behavior by councilwoman Morelli.
This is not the way true Republicans behave. The county chair and municipal chair should have intervened to correct the situation and support Capt Rajan in conducting the meeting.
I was also informed by another individual who was at the meeting that, upon exiting the meeting, a disgraceful statement in the manner of an ethnic slur was made by Joann Denton insulting Capt and Mrs Rajan. The Rajans heard these comments and just walked away. As a lifelong resident of Monmouth County, I always had felt that the Republican Party members were those who were dignified and respectful of all populace. Obviously, there are those who showed their true colors that evening. It was really a shame and pitiful to hear these kinds of inappropriate comments from these two women who claim to be Republicans.
Some of the members were so rude and blaming Capt Rajan for the mayor and council members losing the election, when in fact, they are the victims of their own lies. For example, a flyer was sent to the residents of Marlboro with pictures of Kleinberg, Patti Morelli, and Joe Pernice on one side and claiming endorsements of the 101.5 radio station and various government agencies on the other side of the flyer. Kleinberg had to face the radio station, which blasted him publicly and proved him on the air to be a liar. Does the municipal chair review the flyers? If so, then John Gibardi should have stopped that flyer.
The fact is that Capt Rajan kept this club together for 3 yr by himself when some elected officials boycotted the club and didn't pay dues for 2 yr and during this past election did not support Jeff Cantor, not only on a financial level, but on a moral level. Capt Rajan was diligent in collecting funds for the county to support all the county candidates. I have been at all county fundraisers and there were only a few from Marlboro present. It was as though I was embarrassed to say I was from Marlboro at the county functions for lack of support and attendance of members.
Capt Rajan and his wife have been county committee members and have been involved in the township and county for a long time. Because of Capt Rajan, I have contributed during this election to support the county candidates. When Capt Rajan scheduled a fundraiser in Marlboro for Jeff Cantor, I was shocked to see that NOT EVEN ONE council person, mayor, municipal chair, vice chair, appointed commissioners, who are Republicans in Marlboro attended to support our own council president for Freeholder.
I MYSELF, AND I AM SURE MANY OTHERS WOULD LIKE TO GO FORWARD, BUT WHY WAS THIS MEETING ALLOWED TO RUN IN A MANNER THAT WAS AGAINST ALL REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES?
IF I AM GOING TO DO WORK FOR AN ORGANIZATION, I HAVE TO HAVE 100% FAITH IN IT, AND AS IT STANDS NOW, I AM QUITE BAFFLED!
IF THIS MEETING AND THE BEHAVIOR OF REPUBLICAN MEMBERS AND ELECTED OFFICIALS IS AN EXAMPLE OF THE PARTY, HOW PATHETIC IS THAT?
The Marlboro Republican club is going through the same changes as The Marlboro Democratic Club, several years ago.
It's basically the old guard (Kleinberg supporters) against the newer breed. The club is currently ran by two--yes two individuals. Capt. Rajan, president and Jim Sage, retired Port Authority cop, and currently doing something clandestine with the federal government, I believe with the military.
Anyway, they held the club together during the Kleinber et al boycott, and all of a sudden, all these boycotters have their tails between their legs and want in.
I guess the club is the only thing they have now since they have no office. Good luck Rajan and Sage!!
The Marlboro Republican Club is going through a painful process of reorganizing.
Rajan and Sage held this club togeether for three years. For the most part, it has been boycotted by ex-Mayor Kleinberg and the other Republican officials sitting on the council.
They are out now, and the new leadership of the MRC will assure top candidates are screened and interviewed before rumnning for any council and/or mayoral position.
