The Mayor of Howell? Why don't you ever say the guys name? What gives? And if the guy was crazy enough to run there is no doubt he'd win, like he would have won had he been the nominee last time (actually he was the nominee but got screwed at the convention). He's way to smart to get mixed up with this crowd and run for that job.
The Mayor of Howell doesn't like his name on blogs. When ever I use it, he calls me up and talks dirty.
That's why I don't use his name.
My predictions are that Closet Democrat Boy Lucas will be trotted out OR Jeff Cantor (good guy actually) to run with Ms. Burry. The party establishment would never allow the likes of a proven winner like Mayor DiBella to run. Why would we select a guy who constantly wins in the general election like DiBella when we can pick people we can control and push around instead? We only pick people who lose general elections that we somehow think can win because we can control them and tell them what to do. The better ticket would be Anna Little and DiBella but forget that. We'll stick with the game plan of the last few years and go with the losers. Clifton and Little would have won. But NOPE, we went with people we could control and look what happened. Now there are 2 Democrats and soon there will be 4.
Romney and Clinton will win their respective party nominations. In a crowded field one needs staying power they have the most money, therefore, they can hold out the longest and win. Blomberg won't run because Clinton's in the race.
Lautenburg wins, indicating that neither party has anyone promising in it.
The Press will endorse the two Dems. for Freeholder in their typical anti-Puharic, anti-incumbent, regardless of any other logic mindset.
Adam Puharic will get reelected as GOP Chairman although I think it will be hotly contested.
The surge in Iraq (a temporary strategy) will be seen for what it was as Iraq gets worse just as those who put us there leave office and dump it in the lap of the next administration.
Bhutto's assassination will be a big issue. If she was killed by al queda, we are not defeating them. If it was Musharaff's people, then we are in bed with a bloodthirsty tyrant.
Emboldened by the Manalapan decision, bloggers will get nastier in their denouncement of public officials meaning this blog space will be one of the few bastions of intelligent local political dioscourse.
Thanks Art. Happy New Year.
For Freeholder it will be Curley and DiBella. Thats my prediction. Lilian will be Director for a year and decide not to run and go out on a high note with nothing to prove. She is a class act. Curley and DiBella both win. Guliani beats Obama.
"he got screwed at the convention"
I love people who create their own reality.
I was at that convention. He lost fair and square because more people did not want him as a candidate then did.
Was the right decision made? Who knows? I could argue it both ways.
The point is nobody was screwed. It was a fair election.
On another note. Let's hope Honicker does not get elected. That would be a bad thing.
Say what you want but the guys (Dibella) wins round one by more than 2-1. Then they start the voting, stop the voting, people leave, some people vote again, some vote twice, some had left and their votes were eliminated all together...It was a joke and a scam. Then incredibly he loses by 1vote? PLEASE. Come on! Its water under the bridge now but anyone there that day, and there were many, were sickened by the madness. The guy WON and was screwed. I hope the guy does run again. He was the best candidate we had then and likely is still the best candidate we have now.
