The Asbury Park Press is reporting that Freehold Township Zoning Board member Steven
Walsh and former Howell Planning Board member Russ Bohlin have joined Holmdel Mayor Serena DiMaso, Red Bank Councilman John Curley, and Eileen Kean of Neptune in seeking the GOP nomination for the Freeholder seat being vacated by Bill Barham.
Chairman Adam Puharic has ruled that only two candidates for each vacancy will be passed by the screening committee to appear before the convention for selection.

Russ Bohlin is a FORMER Howell Planning Board member.
A planning Board member and a Zoning board member. Are we that lean on talent now?
Who is Eileen Kean? Somebody please tell me?
I hope this is not a set up where the screening committee sends up two candidates a weak one and the one the oligarchs want.
Adam cannot control who bids, and it appears many elected local officials of any accomplishment are shying away from this screening process.

Bingo.
We all know that there are more qualified, charismatic and electable pols in the republican party than these...
No one worth considering will put up with Adam Puharic and the "Goon Squad".Get real and start by purging the party of some of these ridiculous people. We need reprsentation of the people ,not the party and the people will get it even if they must cross party lines!!!!!!!!Just wait, watch and see !!
Russ Bohlin is an intelligent man that cares about Howell today & Howell's future. He cares about preserving land & the residents of Howell. Not side payoffs for building.
Russ Bohlin is the same individual that created a Right to Farm suit against a neighbor ( Brickyard )with 30 horses and prestine hay feilds. Spending over $100,000 of tax payers dollars in a self-serving adjendia to stop the lowest densitiy housing project on record in Howell. Russ Bohlin also blocked a land preservation offer of 122 acres by the same neighbor for $1. Horse manure for brains.
