DeCROCE SAYS CORZINE SHOULD STOP FIDDLING FOR OBAMA

Assembly Republican Leader Alex DeCroce called a report in The Sarasota Herald-Tribune that Gov. Jon Corzine will be in Florida today to campaign for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama “mind-boggling, but sadly, not surprising.”

“Corzine should start paying more attention to ways to soothe the financial worries of New Jersey taxpayers and less time shilling for Barak Obama,” said DeCroce, R-Morris and Passaic.

“The economic shock waves from Wall Street continue to hit New Jersey residents. At such a time, I think it is outrageous that Corzine seems more concerned about stumping for Obama than staying home and trying to assure anxious New Jersey residents who are losing money and jobs that the state is working on a plan to ease their pain.

“But, then again, maybe Corzine is flying to Florida because he has no strategy to put money in the pockets of people. After-all, the governor has admitted his most immediate priority is to take more money out by raising tolls.”

According to the newspaper report, Corzine will address the question “Are the Fundamentals of Your Economy Strong?” during an appearance at Miami-Dade College.

“We have the highest property taxes in the nation,” DeCroce said. “Tens of thousands of residents leave the state each year because they can no longer afford to live here. And what has been the governor’s response? Raise state taxes, slash property tax relief and impose a massive toll increase. With the track record he has here at home, Jon Corzine shouldn’t presume to give financial advice to anyone.”

Corzine knows he can never be reelected in New Jersey. Christie will wipe him out. So he's campaigning not for Obama, but for a cabinet post (secretary of the treasury, in fact)in Obama's cabinet so he can gracefully bow out of New Jersey without either losing or admitting he would have lost.

Yeah, that's it...cabinet post...geeshh...who would have thought that a Democratic Governor would stump for the Democratic nominee. I'm sure that there aren't any Republican Governors out there on the stump for McCain...nahh...that would never happen.

C'mon..what kind of BS is this post. This just makes DeCroce look silly.

Maybe he should stop shilling for Christie, who's not really running, but is thinking about it...every single day.

Anyone would be better than Corzine. I'd vote for anyone who will cut the pork in NJ. We will soon be the State that used to be. Perhaps another State will take us over. Isn't that Corzine's idea to have our towns and boroughs consolidate? Why stop there? NJ towns are proving they cannot govern themselves. Look at the property taxes.

Look at what the Democrats are doing in Trenton, Aberdeen, Matawan and on and on.

This year let's vote for the person not the political party.
