How low will they go?
Pretty low between now and November 4th. We've already seen South Carolina's Democratic chairwoman say that Sarah Palin's only qualification is that she has not had an abortion.
Now the Obama campaign had an ad mocking John McCain because he does not use email.
What they don't tell you is that John McCain's war injuries prevent him from using a key board. Those injuries also prevent him from combing his hair and tying his shoes.
McCain is groomed, his shoes are tied and he communicates.
The Obama campaign says that McCain is weak on National Security, particularly cyber-security because he doesn't use email. Ha! Do they really want to go there? Do they want to apply that logic to Barack Obama and that fact that he has never shot a rifle or flown a fighter jet?

Oh please...spare me the indignation. The McCain camp has gone so negative, they're in the red zone. And its perpetuated by the lies and smears of the holier than thou right like there's never been a democrat running for office before. Geeshh..you know and I know it. The sleaze from the McCain campaign is only going to get worse. They're taking their cue from the same strategists that ran the Bush/Cheney smear campaigns. Its the same people running the show. Go ahead, deny it. I dare you.
Both campaigns are equally negative Rick. You're just so hooked up to the Democratic rhetoric machine that you can't go one post without mentioning Bush/Cheney, neither of which are on the ballot this year..last I checked.
Obama's campaign is sleaze free? Give me a break. Come on, presidential campaigns are tough. You think John McCain likes being called nothing but a Bush clone when they've had major disagreements on huge issues (spending, execution of the war in Iraq, ethanol subsidies, campaign finance reform, torture, etc.)? You think he likes being called the same as the man he had a bitter primary with 8 years ago?
Oh but those more of the same..and 3rd term of Bush ads aren't sleaze at all. Give me a break Rick.
This is where the big boys play. It's going to be ugly, tough, and it's going to be like this until November 4th. Obama's got to learn to be smarter with his words. You don't like the divisiness..maybe you should tell your candidate to agree to town halls across the country with McCain..or maybe you should tell your party to cool it, after they told Obama to be more aggressive.
Hey Art,
You know what I like most about almost all Obama supporters? They can't seem to answer this simple question: Name something you don't like about Obama. (somewhere you disagree with him) The campaign has turned almost all of them into major hacks.
I'd be glad to answer where I disagree with Senator McCain, and I voted for him in the primary.

How do they know if they disagree with him? He doesn't hold a postition until the next poll comes out.

Me too. Drilling in ANWR and global warming.
Nice Mike. You must really need to boost your traffic.
Eric, I don't even think you read the posts...you just react to what I say. Maybe you should try it sometime to get the perspective. The post says how low will they go...all that after Obama has been taking hit after hit on all sorts of unsubstantiated lies. The McCain team is doing the exact swiftboating of Obama that has happened the past two Bush elections. Whether he's running or not, his team is still in place....
Here's the lineup...This from the Herald Tribune on some of the sleazeballs running the show.....
The installation of Steve Schmidt - a veteran of the George W. Bush's 2004 campaign who worked closely with Karl Rove - at McCain's headquarters represented a sharp diminishment of the responsibilities of Rick Davis, who has been McCain's campaign manager since the last shake-up nearly a year ago. McCain's advisers said that Davis would continue to hold the position of campaign manager, but that Schmidt had taken over every major operation where McCain has shown signs of struggling: communications, scheduling, and basic political strategy.
Greg Jenkins, another veteran of Rove's operation, has joined the communications operation.
Both out of the Rovian cloth. YOU may like that, but I think it stinks.
Rick,
I'm not a big fan of Karl Rove either, I think he might have been behind that great whisper campaign against McCain in 2000 in South Carolina. I don't think any negative attack will ever come anywhere near that level, it's an all time low.
That being sai the man really is an evil genius. From a strictly campaign angle, he was very talented.
Some of the campaign guys on McCain's team may have connections to Rove and the past Bush campaigns, but I don't think they've gone anywhere near swift boating or what Rove might have pulled off against McCain in the 2000 primary.
Nice one Mike. I'm sure typing that made you very happy. Very classy of you.
The mudslinging reached deplorable lows during the "Barrack is a jihadist" fervor, a nice political move given added legitimacy by conservatives who saw how amoral yet painfully affective these personal attacks can be. However, I can just see Hussen letting uncle joe do all the dirty work; hey, his campaign is about change and unity whatever in gods name that is supposed to mean.
Besides, the campaign seasons most inappropriately ackward moment came at the RNC after a "faulty teleprompter" resulted in the Valeria Plume-esque outing of two NAVY SEALS.
And on a side note, Palin is smokin' hot...on the right to life, that is! and she is also attractive in an respectful, kinda-like my-friends mom sort of way.
In my humble opinion, Obama should keep it positive and let Biden et al do the necessary dirty work. That's why I like mccain- will go for thr jugular (or let tested in a battle other than Nam be the Smithers to his behind-the-scenes Burns); that and those glasses Palins wears are perfect!
Middletown Mike you are a talentless hack, a running joke, a witless wonder, if you will. Please go post your inane banter on some high school forum about the upcoming Mike Myers comedy. Oh wait, thats a bit above your IQ range. How about some Baby Einstein? Why not retype every press release or article you come across? Oh wait, you already do that.
What ever you do, please bring something halfway intelligent to the discussion next time. If not, there are many more little sites that would appreciate your insiteful additions to the posts.
