A Welcome Message from Chairman Joe Oxley

Greetings from Monmouth County Republican Chairman Joe Oxley.

We are dedicated to the core principles of efficient, responsible and ethical leadership. We are working hard to ensure that Monmouth County is both affordable and responsive to the needs of our diverse residents.

Under the strong leadership of Freeholder Director Lillian Burry, in 2008 we adopted a county budget which did not raise taxes or spending over the prior year's expenditures. In spite of a substantial reduction in state aid, skyrocketing medical costs and state mandated obligations your county tax bill did not increase. Her running mate, John Curley, is also committed to efficiently delivering county services. They are working very hard to earn your support and vote on November 4th, 2008. Together we can continue the progress.

Please take a moment to sign up on the volunteer page or contact our county coordinator, Gerri Popkin. She can be reached at:berednj@hotmail.com . Gerri is organizing volunteers for telephone calls, literature drops and election day activities.

On the national level, Christine Hanlon is coordinating the county effort on behalf of this historic Presidential campaign of McCain/Palin. She can be reached at: Monmouthmccain@yahoo.com We need a big plurality to ensure success for a patriotic leader, Senator John McCain, and terrific chief executive, Governor Sarah Palin.

Finally, Hank Butehorn is overseeing an energetic educational outreach initiative. He can be contacted at: hank.butehorn@gopusanj.com. On September 20th he will be moderating the fourth in a series of seminars dedicated to building our base at the grassroots. This seminar features a nationally renowned speaker who will be focusing on "Delivering an Effective Message in Ten Minutes or Less". The target audience for this presentation is Municipal Chairmen, candidates and elected officials. Seating is limited, so please contact Hank for details and confirmation.

I welcome your input and ideas. Whether it is a contribution of time or resources your commitment is appreciated. Together we can help ensure that Monmouth county retains it's well deserved national reputation as one of the finest places in America to live, work and raise a family.

Faithfully I remain,

Joseph W. Oxley
