...so I guess I should to. It is Glenn Mason. He's a retired cop and President of the Hazlet Board of Education.
He's also the guy who told the Asbury Park Press Editorial Board yesterday that his campaign has received "approximately $8,000 to $12,000, maybe $13,000" coming into the campaign from outside the county.
Mallet said that money is primarily from "Democrats supporting Democrats."
Hmmmm.
Barry Goldwater reported $29,861 this morning from their October 8 ELEC report.
There's more.
Th Monmouth County Democrats October 10th report shows a $10,000 contribution from the NJ Regional Council of Carpenter Non-Partisan PEC in Edison, $8,000 from the Heavy & General Construction Labors Union Local 472 PAC in Newark, and $2500, DRIVE Committee, Washington DC.
On October 13, they reported $25,000 from the NJ State Laborers PAC of Monroe NJ.
Maybe Amy and Glenn didn't realize that Edison, Newark, Monroe and Washington DC are not in Monmouth County. Maybe they weren't prepared for the question and just made something up. Maybe they outright lied. Maybe Glenn was talking about the money contributed into his campaign account as opposed the the county party's account.
Either way, I hope the APP gives these discrepancies the same prominent coverage and the same scandalous twist that they gave the Colts Neck House Tour and Lillian Burry's website.
