Where do they stand?

Democrats for Freeholder, Amy Mallet and her running mate have run a wacky campaign so far.

Earlier this summer when John McCain announced his support of off shore drilling in order to lower fuel prices and reduce our dependence on terrorist oil, Mallet and her running mate issued a press release condemning off shore drilling and demanding that their opponents, Freeholder Director Lillian Burry and John Curley announce where they stand on off shore drilling. As if Freeholders have any power to influence national energy policy.

This week the Dems accused Freeholder Director Burry on using the influence of her office to sell a house on the Colts Neck house tour. Even though Burry removed any indication that the house was for sale from the premises during the tour, the Dems see a conflict.

What of the influence that Trenton Democrats who assumed Mallet's six figure debt? How will she be indebted to them should she be elected? What of the increased pension credits her running mate will receive if he should be elected? These conflicts are real money and directly related to the offices they are seeking.

If Mallet and her running mate are so firm in their stand against conflicts of interests and for good government, I would like to know where they stand on the Pat Walsh controversy. Certainly they have more influence with Pat Walsh than they have on national energy policy. Pat was at the convention where they were nominated. Barack Obama and John McCain were not there.

I will be reaching out for Amy and the running mate for comment on Pat Walsh's $30,000 unreported gifts and conflicted votes. If the running mate gives me a comment, I'll print his name.

I guess it has some "legs" now.

Art, with these two trying to make an issue out of a house tour, of all things, they have exposed themselves as completely unqualified to hold public office. When candidates have to go out of their way to manufacture an issue, you know they are losers. Will be interesting to see what they say about Pat Walsh, which is explosive, serious and completely documented.

Yes, and they are about to be cut off. :-)

I think Ambrosia is just mad that his wife doesn't have any listings on the house tour. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

If she did, at least it wouldn't be unethical since she doesn't have a government postition and uses taxpayer dollars to promote her homes. Not to mention, she's doing quite well in this climate.

And she's beautiful to boot, unlike Madame Burry Munster.

I love you 'the mouthpiece' mike slams the recall against pat walsh by people who aren't even republican and makes no mention of her $30k. He also brushes over her record of raising taxes and spending more than anyone in middletown and makes the same old baseless claims of corruption. the only person ever caught in a corrupt scheme in middletown was ray o'shady and he was no friend of carton & co. in fact, his main benefactor is the same as walsh's--joe azzolina. and now walsh is caught in a corrupt scheme.

Well Art, any response from the two house tour detectives about Pat Walsh?

What bothers me is, the 2 county Dems are actually too quiet, so far..many years of campaigning here tells me, they're just sitting back, and waiting for the monied, North Jersey D's to wheel in enough last-minute cash to smear two decent R's, in their relentless quest for an entirely "blue" NJ.. it doesn't matter whom the D's are, and yep, they'll be right "in the bag" with the "Trent-o-crats", and, thus, it'll take them 2 yrs. or less to lose our AAA bond rating, put us in huge debt for the future, add thousands of more "affordable," (read, Dem), housing units, and continue the ruinous tax-and-regulate-and- spend philosophy that has made this state a helpless laughingstock, and at the bottom of places people and businesses want to come to!..with only, what, 7 counties left to conquer, Monmouth's next in their sights, so, wake up, people, and vote Burry and Curley to hold them back for at least one more year!..
