October 8th, Subject: Vicious Attacks on Middletown Township Committee Candidate, Pat Walsh
Pat Walsh, my daughter, has run a very effective campaign for Middletown Township Committee. She brings to her candidacy the public service of twelve years as a member of the Middletown Board of Education, serving as both its president and vice president. 10,000 Middletown Township graduates can't be wrong. They have been accepted at the finest colleges and universities in the country.
The fact is she has done too good a job, and her opposition is desperate to bring her down. To this end they filed an erroneous story in a local electronic newspaper demanding her recall. They released the ugly story before they even legally filed the petition. According to the law, Pat is allowed a 250 word rebuttal to their lies attached to the petition. This has not been done so the petition is not legal.
But vicious, untruthful lies like those in the press release are what discourage good people from running for public office.
Mahatma Gandhi once said of the political life:
First they laugh at you; then they attack you, and then you win.
The intensity of the scurrilous charges merely indicates that PAT WALSH is going to win.
Won't you do your part? Please send her an email of encouragement to awalsh386@aol.com and tell her to keep up the good fight. We believe in you. You are going to win!
Don't let the turkeys get you down.
Pat Walsh says in her campaign statement: We can cut spending here in Middletown and we can reduce taxes. We just have to sharpen our pencils. She further states, "The problems of the past can not be solved by those that created them."
Those are the kinds of words our beleaguered taxpayers must hear.
Send a response to Pat showing your support. Government needs more leaders as my daughter, Pat Walsh. And I approve this message.
Thanks. All the best

Mrs. Amend,
Do you know of a place in New Jersey where Democrats are doing a better job governing than Republicans are doing in Middletown and Monmouth County?

Is this the same Virginia Amend who publishes that joke of a paper the Lincroft Village News? How about explaining the nearly $100,000 in undeclared gifts? How about explaining the illegal money your little darling took in for her campaign just last month? Explain the over 2,000 citizens who have signed the recall petition who are fed up with her garbage for the past ten years? Explain the horrendous record of the BOE during her tenure?
Just because walsh didn't submit a response to the recall petition doesn't make it illegal. That's he missed opportunity. Anyhow, didn't she make some crazy video rant blaming all her problems on peter carton?
I saw Middletown Democrats on a street corner today holding signs. One in particular was laughable. How can a Democrat - in NJ - in their right mind - hold up a "TAX REVOLT" sign. Give me a break!
So Pat is now taking credit for the over 10,000 graduates accepted to fine universities? What a joke.
Amend Publishing aka the Lincroft Village News. How lovely. Here's a message to send back to Peppermint Pat: You're going down! First on November 4th, then from the recall, then onto federal prison with Sharpe James, Wayne Bryant and Mims Hackett.
All legal- her daughetr is the illegal one... that is the problem!! Wake up MOM your daughther han not been telling you the truth either!! Call in Super Nanny or Nanny 911--Maybe!one of them can help you control your daughter!
was it really 10,000? Oh, it was $100,000 ... my bad ("loan", not graduates).
Poor baby can't take the heat ....
Anyone know the address for the IRS investigative division?
Litigation against Walsh ended in 2005 (not 2001); Waslh admitted over four years cost was "$100,000" or about $25,000 a year. Four more years after 2001, wonder if it hit $200,000?
Sounds like it's well within statute of limitations (7 years).
