Subject: LEGAL NOTICES

After December 25, 2008 The Courier will no longer be a Title 35 Newspaper so we will no longer be publishing legals. I have a sent a letter out regarding this and you should be receiving it soon if you haven't already. Any questions, please call 732-957-0070.

Word on the street is that The Crier will be published only bi-weekly starting the first of the year. The staff will be greatly reduced with Senior Reporter Alyssa Passeggio set to be laid off as well as several others.

One staffer, sales person Terry "Pokey" Williams ,has already been supplementing her income and is on track to get free room and board from the State of New Jersey.

It is a fairly open secret that the paper has been for sale for quite some time. The asking price was $1,000,000. A deal for a $500,000 sale to a prominent bayshore businessman fell through this summer.

Nice job Purcell, you took a once-beloved hometown newspaper and ran it into the ground. How does it feel to have the reverse Midas touch where everything you touch turns to sh..

What a joke - hey Azzolina, did you keep any of those receipts? Redeem all crier expenses at nearest police station for a free slap on the forehead. The wasted money is also good for "biggest waste during economic nightmare" award.

Its only been a matter of time. . . the paper is a complete rag and political tool of the dems and a handful of wayward Republican nutjobs following in the footsteps of John Merla, Ray O'Shady and Terence Wall.

wonder how many advertisers, other than legal, have been told this?

Looks like the sales staff has quite the entrepeneurial spirit! At least someone is doing the work, or maybe that's how the writers work for so long...

Couldn't happen to a more deserving rogues gallery. Think of all the talentless twirp writers who came and went from that paper.
