A Letter from Red Bank Councilwoman Grace Cangemi

Dear Art,

It's a lovely day here in Red Bank - and that's some small comfort given that getting home from work on the parkway today cost more and business remains slow. But now that I'm back here in my lovely little town, I can sit in my house and be grateful to my own fellow councilperson, Michael Dupont, for helping to assure that going to work for me and my neighbors costs more. That anyone from Monmouth County would support a toll hike that so directly damages our own residents is astounding. That someone elected to serve his fellow taxpayers in a town that relies heavily on commuting is beyond belief.

When one drinks from the Corzine trough, one must make sure someone pays the tab. Once again, we pick up the check.

This isn't a press release, just a note from a reader who knows how much noise you can make. As Mike Dupont and his law partner Ed McKenna continue to drain my municipality and head toward Freehold and Trenton for more of the same, I think it's important for folks to remember treacheries like the selling out of our residents and businesses to feed the Corzine beast. I've attached a copy of the letter signed by Michael Dupont recommending the toll hike. Thought you might like it for your records - Besides, when the credit card bills come in for people who have EZPass tied to their cards, it's going to make a startling Christmas present.

Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving!

Yours,
Grace Cangemi
