From Tow's email:
"Among other topics that will be discussed is the issue of published printed articles related to racial issues that we previously had discussed at the 7/31/08 Special Meeting of the MHRC. Because proper meeting notice of that Special Meeting might not have been posted, we will rediscuss that issue."
A subsequent email from Tow clairified, at my request, that commission is interested in my Nigger Nuts post of July 17th and Jim Purcell's post regarding the Obama New Yorker cartoon made on the same day.
I hope the turnout for this meeting is a good or better than the July 31st gathering. I hope Lorenzo Dangler, Joe Caliendo and Jim Purcell are there.

Remember that this "commission" is an advisory board to the township committee and is not authorized to take ANY independent action. Their purpose is to give recommendations to the governing body, or carry out tasks given to them by the governing body.

Art Gallagher is entitled to his opinions but he's not been qualified or successful in leading this discussion in the past . . Look at the last attempt he made and the result. I guess someone on the Middletown HRC figured out how to post anonymously. Isn't it ironic how a local government commission will waste all of this time and energy on something as trivial as the use of the N-word by a local columnist, yet has nothing to say about the obscene taxation of Gov. Corzine that is violating the basic human rights of every taxpayer in the state? Get rid of this stupid board already - they're not worth the expense of turning on the lights for their meetings.
And for the record, anonymous, despite the Giants losing two in a row and Carrabas taking the lentil soup off the menu on Wednesdays, my attitude toward everyone and everything is great, with the exception of the useless anachronism known as the M-town HRC. Getting rid of them would be addition by subtraction.

Just an observer who knows good government and bad government when I see it. The HRC and little Patty Walsh, who by the way, got her clock cleaned last November, fall into the latter category. You sound like an irate Dem who is still wobbly from the vote count in Middletown.
