We Can't Let This Bank Fail

MoreMonmouthMusings is pleased to join 111 other New Jersey blogs lead by Deb Smith at JerseyBites.com in blogging out hunger.

In these tough economic times, New Jersey food banks are reporting a 30% increase in the demand for their services. Our neighbors, friends and families our suffering. Children are going to bed hungry. We can't let this happen.

You can help by volunteering or donating money, goods, food or hosting a food drive for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.

Alyssa Passeggio at Read All About It has a chart of local food banks you can print out and refer to if you prefer to contribute really close to home. There is no competition here. Just making a difference.

"Think about it for a minute. Really really think about it. Open your refrigerator, imagine it empty. Open the pantry, see it empty. No food, no toilet paper! Now imagine having to look your children right in the eyes and tell them it will be better soon. We lie to them to help keep them safe and innocent, but they know. If you have it at all in your power to donate money or food to the FoodBanks - DO IT." Lynette, New Jersey

Please do something today. You will make a difference.
