Republican voters: Party should move to the right

Rasmussen reports that 43% of GOP voters say their party has been too moderate over the past eight years while only 17% say it has been too conservative. Most Republicans (55%) think the party should become more like Alaska Governor Sarah Palin while 24% see John McCain as the best role model and 11% say they should follow George W. Bush.

Sarah Palin isn't as fiscal a conservative as I would like, which is why I hope she isn't becoming the new face of the party. She actually is pro-bailout, which I find to be very unfortunate. I voted for Bob Barr (Libertarian) this time out. That's the direction we needed to go in instead of the Obama big government direction. Unfortunately the rest of America thought differently.
