Make your voice heard on the Youth Detention Center

The Monmouth County Board of Freeholders has scheduled a meeting for the purpose of hearing public comments regarding the proposed closure of the Monmouth County Youth Detention Center.

The meeting will take place at the Hall of Records on next Tuesday, February 10 at 7 PM.

You can bet that the government employees unions will be out and force to create the illusion that Monmouth County taxpayers want to spend $5,000,000 per year to detain 20 some juvenile delinquents and that it is not worth the $2.5 million in savings the county would save by detaining the delinquents in Middlesex County because the drive is too far for the detainees' families and lawyers.

Get there early to make sure you get in and have your voice be heard.

Contact your Freeholders through the county website to let them know your thoughts on the Youth Detention Center. Each Freeholder's email and phone number is available on their individual page.

Sheriff Kim Guadagno's report on the YDC is available on the Sheriff's website.

Help Kim, Lillian, and Rob to do the right thing, and, if they don't close the YDC, blame the hypocricy of "Flippy" and the D's for caving to 75 union workers, to the detriment of us all!.. NOT acceptable any more, tell them!
