Stimulus or Porkulus? Let Your Voice Be Heard

No one disputes our economy could use a good shot in the arm. What the Democrats are doing, however, is taking advantage of the economic crisis to load up their so-called “stimulus” bill with billions in funding for their pet liberal causes. Consider:

*$5.2 BILLION for ACORN
*$335 million for STD Prevention
*$50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
*$200 million to rehabilitate the National Mall in Washington
*$400 million for climate change research
*$75 million for smoking cessation programs

As it stands now, the bill will cost close to $900 billion.

Now, there are some good things in the bill – like tax cuts and extended unemployment benefits, but too much is being spent on stuff that has NOTHING to do with creating a job or stimulating the economy. Republicans are ready to help get our economy going again. We won’t, however, join in the parade of pigs looking to feather their own nest and pass the bill to future generations.

With the Senate debate underway, now is the time to make your voice heard!

1)Sign our on-line petition here and tell as many of your New Jersey friends to join the effort. We’ll publicly release the number of signers later this week to put pressure on Menendez and Lautenberg to vote no.

2)Call Senators Lautenberg and Menendez and tell them you want them to vote no on the current stimulus bill and keep voting no until they cut the spending and focus on what’s really needed – lower taxes, job creation, and economic growth.

I personally e-mailed each of the 41 current GOP Senators,(forget all the Dem water-bearers of doom), begging them to all vote NO on this disaster..looked like they may dig out some courage and stand with the brave House members, but those Maine women might as well switch parties, and now looks like the temptation to "pork" it up, so they can brag to their states/districts is overtaking reason, once again.. the frustration level is so high already, we'll see many more heart attacks at the state of THIS union, for the next 8 years, if we don't get a new Revolution going, soon!..
