Gallagher Buys The Courier

The Caliendo Crier is no more. Heretofore, The Courier's nickname will be Gallagher's Gallery, or MoreMonmouthMusings in print.

Now that the ink is dry on the contracts and the final edition of the Purcell Rant has been put to bed, the truth can be told. I had a staw buyer purchase The Courier from the Azzolina and Scuduto families.

Many thanks to Vin Gopal, publisher of the Red Bank Monitor, for his assistance in making this dream come true.

Melissa, clean out your desk.

Of course Art is joking. It's hardly a secret that the new buyer is none other than Frank Pallone.

In a statement, Pallone said "after buying friends at the Asbury Park Press who defend all of my inactions and failures, I've decided that expanding my control of area newspapers by purchasing them is the best way to spend money from my $4 million bank account and ensure future victories so that I never have to get a real job, or actually work to represent the people of District 6."

"Sources" tell me that Mr. Pallone is planning a meeting with Mrs. Gaffney to ensure that she never writes another story that might remind area residents of the FEMA flood map changes and added insurance costs, another issue in which Frank has failed his district.

Not nice April Fools - but what a nice dream!

Vin Gopal may have a good last name (GOPal) but he is anything but... wonder if state dems helped finance his purchase of the caliendo Crier to try and cement their gains in freehold? Hmmm

I doubt Vin GOPal has much to do with the GOP, he shares the name with the New Jersey native who headed Dennis Kucinich's campaign.
