President Obama deserves credit for giving the order to our Navy Seals to use deadly force to save Captain Richard Phillips from Somali pirates.
Well done Mr. President.

STOP- we have the entire lib media to give him credit for the sun coming up!.. he signed some papers-it was the naval seals and their commander who did the job,as usual, while this president, who tried to decrease military benefits, just keeps spending our grandkids into oblivion, and is hellbent on socializing the entire place!..may God, and some conservative guts, save us from him!..
Give credit to the Navy Commander, Seal Team and the Captain of the freighter. Obama "HID" from this issue, until everything turned out good. Now he wants credit? He allowed the military to do their job, that is what he is SUPPOSED to do. I am surprised he did not pay the ransom.
He didn't give any order. He authorized, after consulting with lawyers, to let the Navy do what it's supposed to do. This was not a matter of sending troops into action, attacking another country, or executing a special ops. It was the US Navy protecting a US citizen from thugs, in international waters. The liberals like to call all this a police action.
It's like giving Obama credit for authorizing a SWAT team to fire on a suspect who's threatening civilian hostages.
POLL - A new CNN/Opinion Research poll shows that overwhelming majority of Americans don't agree with former Vice President Dick Cheney's claim that President Barack Obama's actions have increased the chances of a terrorist attack against the United States. 72% believe Obamas actions in office have made the country more safe. 26% agree with the former vice president.
CAPITALISM vs. SOCIALISM. A provocative new Rasmussen Reports poll has some surprising results. As GOP leaders have attempted to use the word "socialist" to describe many Obama Administration proposals, the pollster asked registered US voters whether they thought capitalism or socialism "is better." The poll did not define either capitalism or socialism. The results: Capitalism - 53%, Socialism - 20%, Not Sure - 27%. And -- if these numbers alone aren't enough to raise a future alarm for conservatives -- check out the response from voters under age 30: Capitalism - 37%, Socialism - 33%, Not Sure - 30%.
POPULARITY CONTEST. A new CBS poll shows President Barack Obama with a 66% approval rating, and a new Research 2000 poll finds him with a 68% approval rating. The CBS poll also shows that 57% of Americans are willing to pay higher taxes if that allows all Americans to have health care (73% of Democrats favor the idea while 29% of Republicans do). The Research 2000 poll shows Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell with a 23% approval rating and House Republican Leader John Boehner with an 18% approval rating. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stands at a 36% approval rating, while Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is at 34%. Congressional Democrats overall have a 41% approval rating and Congressional Republicans have an 18% approval rating. Americans give the Democratic Party as a whole a 51% approval rating, versus just 26% for the Republicans.

Art deserves credit for going by his principles - not by some party line agenda like a lot of the readers on the site.
To those readers - how does it feel to be apart of the extreme group of far right - who poll after poll, shows is out of touch with the overwhelming majority of Americans.
Feels good being on the far right.Sleeping real good at night. Also, closer to the big guy. Polls can be deceptive. Out of touch - WITH WHOM? The majority of Americans elected a inept person to be our President. Sorry dude, no points for you this round. And that's 100% assurd!

"More Monmouth Musings is a must-read. Art Gallagher skillfully covers local, state and national affairs and his blog is a definite stop on the daily news round up. A respected conservative, Art knows when to question conventional wisdom and his guest commentators provide an array of opinions on everything from the State House to the school board." ~ Senator Joe Kyrillos

"MMM is a great source of insider gossip and news in the conservative wing of the Republican Party and the Tea Party. I don’t agree with everything I read, but I keep taking a look- it is definitely entertaining. However, MMM would be better and could have far greater credibility if Art Gallagher didn’t display his biases quite so obviously and ran an unbiased forum for discussion. Well said Chris! Your analysis is right on the money.
