The Joe Azzolina Story

Wally Edge at Politickernj has an interesting narrative of Joe Azzolina's poltical career.

The post provides good insights into the history of Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex poltics.

Joe is a good man. He has done a lot for the Republican party and even more for local charities. Best wishes for his continued health and happiness.

Are you kidding me anonymous 12:27? Have you seen the rag that Azzolina has used to bash Republicans and help get Democrats elected? Do you remember the mailing that Azzolina paid for with his own money supporting Democrat Sean Byrnes in Middletown? He was even lauded at a recent Democrat Party function in Monmouth County thanking him for all his support. You may want to amend which party he has done a lot for.

A once proud legacy that is now useless thanks to his actions the past 5 years. If he wanted to leave a legacy he should have made a park out of his property and named it after himself. Instead his greed forced a bitter end to his Republican roots as he had been on a mission of revenge over his Town Center. His bird cage liner newspaper helped to elect the two bird brains now serving Middletown. Furthermore, the county now even has to deal with one of them in Byrnes.

Azzolina will be remembered by the future of Middletown as the guy who sold his property for the low income housing on route 35. I hope it was worth all of those years Joe.

Joe was stabbed in the back by wet behind the ears Kyrillos during the gin night at Stanleys house. They earned every bit of Joe A's disgust

Anonymous 2:12 read the Wally Edge biographical sketch again. If you live to be 120 it would be difficult to emulate all Joe accomplised. He devoted his life to the Republican party. Decades of selfless public service. Succesful in so many ways; businees, charity, service to our Country and Republican politics. Get over your jealousy

..Not to mention his Naval service, and the tremendous efforts to bring the battleship NJ back to our state- it would have rusted into oblivion if not for Joe's perseverance.. there wasn't an event, political or charity, that Joe hasn't been there with tons of support.. while others talk and criticize, Joe, with his health issues in later life, runs right by and leaves them in the dust, actually doing good, for so many others....a true example of what America used to be: a place where immigrants came, worked hard, earned their citizenship and their own way, and made the country better for their having lived and served.. few successful, self-made family men can compare to this man's initiatives and good heart, and ,for so many decades.. thank you, Joe!..

Intresting guy
quite a paradox. All of you are right about him.
My personel dealings with him exposed me to a mean vulgar vindictive side.
Yet I know he also had his good points

anonymous 7:38 hit the nail on the head. Joe Azzolina had his good points, but if you crossed him, he threatened to destroy you. Unfortunately, his greed got the better of him in later years and has pretty much obscured any good he may have done in the past. Very sad.

Shame on Joe Azzolina for letting greed and spitefulness be a part of his legacy. His newspaper was allowed to malign people with their slanted journalism.
Good bye to that "National Inquirer" wannabe. I hope Joe will stay out of politics and enjoy his retirement. It will be difficult for people to remember the good he has done. It is sad that he wasn't advised against his actions over the last 5 years.

Assemblywoman Amy Handlin does a fine job. She represents the people of her district with dignity and class.

Hey anonymous 9:35 - can you dispute anything I said in my earlier post of 2:12? Do you deny that Joe Azzolina has aggressively supported Democrats in the last five or six years? How is that "doing a lot" for the Republican party?
