The U. S. House of Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act this evening by a margin of 7 votes, 219-212.
8 Republicans voted for the bill, including three from New Jersey: Lance, LoBiondo and Smith.
President Obama has said this bill will cause electricity and other energy prices to "necessarily skyrocket."
Disgraceful.

Art, tried to call you during this awful vote- have e-mailed the county chair, and will call on Webber, to see if he stands with us as state chair, or is yet another wimp, to DENOUNCE those 3 turncoats who, unbelievably, voted with Obama, Pelosi, and all the other communists, to totally destroy our way of life and country- we are doomed..I will also ask Smith to remove me from his mailing list.. I am both furious and in tears over this outrage..everyone, wake up, NOW: please, call/e-mail those so-called "R" Senators, as only they can stop this, now.. those 2 idiot women Sen's from Maine will vote for it, and we're done.. it's Friday night, June 26, 2009, the true beginning of our end!..thanks, all AlGore, statist morons, from us, our kids and grandkids, who get to live like third-worlders and in misery!!!
What's *SOMEHOW* even worse than the vote itself, is that Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. D-IL had the audacity to interrupt the session to request a moment of silence for Michael Jackson.
Garbage. As I said on my blog yesterday (and thanks for the link Art!), where was the coverage of our soldiers in war, and the moment of silence for those lost?

Yesterday, I made a motion at the NJ Federation of Rep. Women's Board of Governors meeting in Middlesex, to write letters to the three mistaken Congressmen, LoBiondo,Lance and Smith, and express our disappointment at those damaging votes, and have them explain to us, and our Party, WHY they voted that way!...sadly,a few attendees did not know what I, and others, were so concerned about: look,if you want to join a garden club, that's fine: if you're engaged in the cause of good-government, you must stay informed at all times, and track what they are doing, and call them up on it all!.. we all know "freedom" means "responsiblilty" as citizens to keep it...and,if we all don't pay more attention, especially in these next 17 months, to the ravages being done to the taxpayers of BOTH NJ and the Nation, we will be unable to ever re-take ANY majority, and unravel some of this disgusting over-regulation and taxation..Monmouth people are largely engaged and interesed, so, we must keep up the pressure for accountability, from all elected officials, and work even harder,to derail these socialists from rendering us the third-world country NOBama and his minions want us to be!..call, e-mail, Twitter or write to them all, invest some of your personal mind and time, before it's too late, and we have no more freedoms to do so..eventually, they will have to begin to listen to US!.. they don't want to lose their good-deals as electeds, so make them respond to you!..
