Save Jersey is reporting that the Corzine campaign is pulling its TV Ads.
Could Corzine have gone from "NO F*%KING WAY" to bowing out of the race in just one week? Way, but probably not.
It is more likely that Corzine has realized that his campaign is not working. Look for a shift in strategy...to uglier negative ads reminiscent of the Toricelli/Zimmer 1996 U.S. Senate Race.
Look for ads featuring LG candidate Loretta Weinberg taking on Christie for his Bush ties, DPA's and making sweatheart deals while he was U.S Attorney.

Can't wait to see that face on the small screen in my living room.
ADs not yet pulled. I saw one last night.
Weinberg's face? Dude, Kim's got them beat hands down for hotness!
Chris Christie gave favorable treatment to former NJ Senator John O. Bennett. As US Attorney, Christie declined to charge Bennett with the crimes Bennett committed while Bennett was the township attorney in Marlboro, New Jersey (e.g., Bennett's billing fraud). As a Federal prosecutor, Chris Christie had one standard for liberal Republicans like himself, and another standard for everyone else.
Incidentally, Chris Christie and his pro-abortion running mate are NOT conservatives. Why are you supporting them? Simply because the alternative is even worse? That's not good enough for me. I'm not voting for any more liberal, New Jersey Republicans. Why encourage them? I am standing on principle this year. I'm voting for Steve Lonegan for Governor. I'll write in his name. I urge other conservatives to do the same.
anon 1:17, you made a mistake. You said you were voting for Lonegan this year. You mean you're voting for Corzine. That whole mentality of "Christie is not conservative enough so I'm writing in Lonegan" is beyond idiotic. Christie is way closer to Lonegan than Corzine, yet you would rather have Corzine again to make some stupid point. Republicans have a chance to take back New Jersey, energize the party on a national level and possibly alter the course that the country is currently on. Instead, you would, for all intents and purposes, vote for Corzine to embolden the Democrats into thinking, "no matter how bad or corrupt we are, the Republicans are so stupid and factioned that they cannot unite to defeat us." Brilliant strategy of yours.
be ready, GOP, please be ready..
If given a choice between a liberal that calls himself a liberal (Corzine), and a liberal that calls himself a conservative (Christie), I'll always choose the more honest man.
Fortunately for me, I'm not limited in choosing between two liberals (Corzine & Christie). I'm voting for Steve Lonegan. I'll write in his name. The only way to change the liberal, RINO establishment here in New Jersey is by not complying with their scare tactics. Otherwise, they will keep serving up the "not as bad as" solution and then blame the conservatives when the electorate does support their pro-abortion, Democrat-lite brand of Republicanism.
When the New Jersey Republican party starts nominating conservatives, I might consider voting for their candidates. Until then, I'll be sure to bring my pen into the voting booth with me.
N.J. conservatives deserve a "Torricelli" on Chris Christie
anon 2:56. Thank God you seem to be a minority. I know many Lonegan supporters who are supporting Christie in a big way. And you know why? Because they are not all self-absorbed, immature little pinheads who feel if something is not exactly 100% the way they want it to be, they will take their ball and go home. Rather than pulling together as a team, you would rather the other side win "to teach everyone a lesson." In the meantime, the state is further destroyed, and the party further demoralized and divided. You must be such a small, petty individual as not to see the good a win in New Jersey would do for the party on a national level and certainly, going into 2010 and 2012. Absolutely pathetic.
You don't stop the socialists by voting for one.
You know what anon 4:08? You remind me of one of those Japanese soldiers who were stuck on an island and kept fighting the war for years after it was over. You are obviously a Lonegan diehard who is so devout, you will not lift a finger to defeat the Democrats and help the greater Republican party. Somehow, in your convoluted logic, you think that you are advancing your cause by supporting those who are farthest from it. Hope you've got your Obama/Corzine lawn sign all gussied up for display. Be proud of the "teachable moment" you will be trying to provide for all us Republicans who aren't up to your lofty standards. I'm sorry we are not worthy of your blessing because we don't meet the standards you have set for who is and who is not a conservative.
N.J. race for governor: Why I can't join 'we' in buying the Republicans' spin
Not the best arguments to get a real Republican to vote for a bunch of RINOs.
2010? Are you kidding me? The only thing we are going to see in 2010 is liberal, pro-abortion RINOs like Mike Halfacre concede defeat. And you better believe that won't be changed even if Christie happens to gets elected in a fluke.
Go Lonegan.
