Jon Corzine Is Part Of The Problem: Oblivious Bystander On Corruption

An email from the Christie campaign:

Jon Corzine and Family Contribute $384,850 to Hudson County Political Machine

Please view this video on The Corzine Family's Hudson County Democratic Organization

While corruption indictments and convictions continued to rain down on Hudson County Democratic officials over the last six years, Jon Corzine has proven himself to be a loyal and frequent contributor to those same elected officials and political bosses. Governor Corzine's steady and reliable contributions show a stunning lack of judgment and a complete obliviousness to a system where corruption has deep seeded roots.

Instead of using his money and influence to stand up to the entrenched Democratic Party powerbrokers, Governor Corzine chose to ignore the endemic corruption problem, instead writing increasingly larger checks to the Hudson County Democratic Organization. Governor Corzine was seemingly naïve about the political wheeling and dealing in Hudson County while donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to a corrupt machine.

"Instead of demanding a higher standard of conduct from his fellow Party leaders, Governor Corzine paid into the system, contributing 12 times over ten years to the Hudson County Democratic Organization despite ongoing federal corruption investigations, indictments and convictions of its leaders. New Jersey can't afford this kind of obliviousness when the culture of corruption has permeated every level of government." noted Bill Stepien, Christie-Guadagno campaign manager.

The Numbers Don't Lie...

Jon Corzine donates $332,100 over ten years to corrupt party boss Robert "Bobby J" Kaniszewski, former Assemblyman Lou Manzo and the Hudson County Democratic Organization while failing to take a stand against the consistent corruption plaguing Hudson County.

In addition, Governor Corzine's former wife contributed another $52,750 to Bobby Janiszewski's political party organization...
