None of those creeps is safe,if they keep defying the will of the American people and keep ramming this socialism/statism down our necks!..maybe you don't remember 1994: they blew it, and that's why we finally took it back: that time, it was 30 yrs. in coming, this time, it's only 15!..keep it up, you out of touch elitists, no, you DON'T know better than we do!

Don't be so sure Holt is safe. There were people who swore Corzine was a cinch for re-election, and he is now lame duck Corzine.

Rush Holt won't break a sweat in the 2010 campaign and he'll still beat Halfacre by 20%.

Once those limo liberals in west windsor finally realize he is hosing them that district will flip back to the republicans where it belongs.

Halfacre: hope he's done the train trip down to the RNCC for bucks early, since we finally have some real good districts we can take back in 2010:get the dibs in early!.. can't wait til '09's done!!

Holt's a dolt, give him the jolt..

The gerrymandering ensures a Holt victory. Forget about Middlesex and Mercer. If whoever runs against Holt can raise $2-3 million, then perhaps he can be defeated.

Chris Christie won Holt's district by over 20,000 votes, and he won Middlesex. Anyone who thinks it cant be won or that Halfacre is going to lose by 20% is clueless.

Mike Halfacre is not Chris Christie. Rush Holt is not Jon Corzine. I think the prediction that Rush Holt will beat Halfacre by at least 20% is right on the money.

Halfacre is a sacrificial lamb. He's officially running for a seat in Congress. In reality, he's running for a seat on the Superior Court -- or any other appointed position that will provide him with a government paycheck, taxpayer-funded healthcare for himself and his family, and a generous government pension.

Ahhh, the beauty of anonymous internet postings...you just get to make stuff up with no facts, no reason, and no basis in reality. God Bless America.

The "Halfacre wants to be a judge" bulls**t has been kicked around for years. Maybe you can explain to me why someone who was an early and vocal backer of our new Governor, and who is on very good terms with his home district Senator, who is on the Senate Judiciary Committee ( Jen Beck)...why would that person need to be a sacrificial lamb if he wanted to be a judge? Of course you cant explain it..because you pulled it out of your a**.

Anyone who thinks a year from now Rush Holt, who is actually more liberal than Jon Corzine, is going to beat Mike Halfacre by 40,000 votes (20%) in a district that Chris Christie just won by over 20,000 votes, put down the pipe. Its not happening.

That all being said Halfacre has an uphill battle. it will be a close race either way.

Halfacre will do well- they are signing their own death warrants by supporting this health fiasco in defiance of the people and all sanity... Pallone, too, has the most criticism and least positive press and polling than he's ever had, because he's so out-of-touch with reality, after 22 years of coasting along, doing NOTHING for Dist. 6, as well.. anyone with some creds and some decent dough can take both Holt and Pallone out in 2010: it stands to be another great one, and our last chance to save the country: so,go for it, and let's keep the GOP wins coming!!!

Holt won his last election with 62% of the vote. I wouldn't be surprised if he did that well again in 2010. Mike Halfacre isn't any more impressive than the last guy that Holt destroyed.

Of course Halface wants to be a judge. He has been feeding at the public trough for most of his adult life. I think he's been the municipal prosecutor in more than a half a dozen towns. (If anyone knows how to play the state pension system, it's Mike Halfacre.) It certainly isn't a stretch to assume the ambitions of this solo practioner include a seat on the Superior Court bench.

Halfacre needs to be a sacrificial lamb in order to endear himself to the Republican party. Halfacre is not at all qualified to be a judge. If Christie were to appoint him to the bench (or to any other position), many would certainly ask why he appointed Halfacre instead of other more qualified individuals. By agreeing to be a sacrificial lamb in his race against Rush Holt, Halfacre is hoping that Christie and/or the Republican party will feel that they owe him something.
