Today in Highlands, Freeholder Rob Clifton issued the oath of office to Frank L. Nolan and Richard W. O'Neil for their terms as councilmen. Both men are returning to public service after brief hiatuses. Nolan served on the Highlands council from 2006 through 2008. O'Neil served a term as councilman and three terms as mayor through 2007.
County Clerk M. Claire French swore in David "Bear" Parker as Highlands Fire Chief. Parker previously served as chief in 1996.
Lieutenant Governor-elect Kim Guadagno will continue her reorganization tour on Monday in Holmdel. Guadagno will be swearing in Mayor Serena DiMaso and Deputy Mayor Pat Impreveduto at 6:30 at Holmdel Town Hall.
