Sipprelle Responds To Halfacre's Press Release:

“Scott Sipprelle is running for Congress to reform a dysfunctional political process and to repair the financial fabric of America. Mike Halfacre’s desperate, negative attack violates Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment of not speaking ill of another Republican and clearly shows a campaign in distress. The fact is that Scott has a long history of generously supporting Republicans all across the country and has been proud to do so.”

Background: Check out this link as well: http://www.fec.gov/finance/disclosure/norindsea.shtml It's important to put this into context. Scott has made more than $95,000 in campaign contributions overall and fewer than $5,000 have gone to Democrats.

IF HE WANTS TO REFORM THE FINANCIAL FABRIC OF AMERICA, WHY IS HE DONATING TO THE PEOPLE THAT ARE SHREDDING IT????

Was this really a "response"? If it were, then Sipprelle is following the liberal guidelines of attacking the messenger, not the message. If his PR was indeed in response to Halfacre's, he should've explained the allegations, not invoke some secret code. So it's not a "response", it's just a reciprocal attack.

FYI - 5% of the dems out there are better Republicans then 50% of the RINOs in this county who call themselves Republicans but walk and quack like liberal dems. Go Sipprelle!!!!

his less than 5% of donations to Democrats went to conservatives like Schuler.

Looks like the Fitzsimmons/Halfacre duo are getting desperate.

Watch out for Scott's Monmouth County release - announcement of several elected official endorsements, including State Senator Joe Kyrillos

And why is Halfacre shredding the Republican party's chances of beating Holt? He is 'contributing' to the Democrats by violating Ronald Reagan's 11th commandment...which will cost much more than any dollar amount.

What a mature, selfless individual he has shown that he is ... NOT!

Ronald Reagan's 11th commandment is not applicable to a primary, otherwise why would he have waged an insurgent campaign for a nomination against a sitting Republican president.

The commandmanr applies to general elections.

FOUR out of the FIVE Dem's Siprelle gave money to voted AGAINST Pelosi's healthcare disaster!! Man this guy is a good investor! Sign me up.

Based on their voting records, Scotty is clearly better as a stock picker than a politicker.

The 11th commandment wasn't violated, because Scotty isn't a Republican, he is an opportunist!

"Ronald Reagan's 11th commandment is not applicable to a primary ...
The commandmanr applies to general elections"

You are absolutely incorrect. Do your homework.

It was specifically designed to protect Reagan and the other GOP primary candidates by California's GOP Chair, as Nelson Rockefeller's 'assaults' on Barry Goldwater in the presidential primary cost Goldwater the presidency. Thanks to this respectful rule of decorum, Reagan won the primary...the governorship....and the rest is history.

So I would advise all involved to stick to the issues and the facts, or just hand Holt the victory now.

Halfacre needs to get beyond his ego and step aside before Republicans hand a sure win to Holt. We need to pick the best candidate who is most likely to win and that's Siprelle--hands down.

why does it always immediately become so damned personal and nasty?.. so childish and senseless: why can't the R's ever keep their eyes on the ball?.. here we are again, and.. oh,but I really get it, it's more about the frustrated, "smartest" ones among us trying to take the party, and all the collateral "spoils" over,huh?..

What issues? Sipprelle has told us nothing but about how rich he is. Corzine-lite. At least Corzine told us he was a progressive socialist. Siprelle tells us nothing. Oh, wait: he told us he supports democrats.

never mind.

It becomes so nasty because most of the people running the local party are idiots in this solely for political paybacks. Therefore they need to slander and attack anyone who is not into their game so they can keep power and hand out each other do nothing jobs.

Who owes the party 'bosses' more? Who has multiple municipal jobs and needs to keep certain people 'happy' to keep those jobs? Who is beholding to no one?

GET ON IT ART - KYRILLOS WILL COME OUT STRONG FOR SCOTT ON TUESDAY - CHRIS CHRISTIE IS ALREADY SAYING HE PREFERS SCOTT WHO BUNDLED A GOOD DEAL OF $$ OF HIM.

FITZIMMONS BETTER STICK TO MATAWAN BECAUSE HIS CANDIDATE IS ABOUT TO GET HIS BUTT KICKED AGAINST SIPPRELLE. 4 OUT OF 5 DEMS HE DONATED VOTED AGAINST THE HEALTHCARE PLAN. HALFACRE AND FITZIMMONS ARE DESPERATE.

Didn't Halfacre, in this dire economy where people are having such a hard time paying property taxes, just burden the people of Fair Haven even more by purchasing with their money a piece of waterfront property...when at first he said he would do so only if they got a grant? I'm sick of hearing he's a "fiscal conservative" because reality speaks otherwise. And their property taxes have not gone down either. Another bunch of bull.

Go Sipprelle.

And all but those who have been promised money by Selfprelle are waiting for an explanation, an answer and uhmmmmoh yeah, a website with something other than a donate button.

Childish sniping and ridiculous name-calling is as disturbing to me as possibly lying about the timing of something. In fact, I find it more troubling right now.

Halfacre is out of his league and in over his head. He will never win against Holt with these tactics.

And there is no one being 'paid off' here. But....just curious....with his limited money, how is Halfacre planning to pay or reward some of the 'biggies' on his team? Favors? Votes? Positions? Gotta give thought to that currency...

There must be a prudent reason preventing more prominent Republicans such as State Sen. Joseph Kyrillos and Assemblyman Samuel Thompson from endorsing anyone at this point, even though Mayor Halfacre has been courting endorsements well before Mr. Sipprelle ever hinted at the possibility of serving the citizens of the 12th Congressional District. A wave of defectors coming from Mayor Halfacre’s camp does not seem realistic unless there is a primary loss, but we do know that in the recent past Mayor Halfacre has changed his mind on candidates running for office.

New Jersey Republicans must not be torn asunder by self-interest when the party needs all the resources it can garner to wage a successful campaign against any Democrat incumbent. A primary campaign is most useful when there are major differences in policy between the aspirants. In this particular situation it seems those policy differences do not manifest themselves or have not yet been enunciated by either candidate. A major issue moving this citizen, at such an early stage, is the ability of a public servant to reverse the perpetual assault on our liberties, and Mr. Scott Sipprelle and Mayor Michael Halfacre, it seems, possess that quality.

The major difference, of course, is financial, a political reality that must be recognized by conservatives. Since it is difficult to discern any material policy differences, then it is pragmatic that support should be given to Mr. Sipprelle merely based on his financial experience and independence, both will be indispensable tools to loosen the grip Rush Holt and his Democratic wire-pullers have on the 12th Congressional District and correct those ill-conceived policies that seek to undermine our liberties.
