Venables Wins Dem Freeholder Nod

MMM's deep cover mole reports that Spring Lake Councilwoman Janice Venables defeated Vincent Solomeno, Jr by a 10% margin for the Democratic nomination for Monmouth County Freeholder.

Venables will be John D'Amico's running mate. Former Wall municipal prosecutor Eric Brophy will be the Democratic nominee for sheriff.

ok, interesting: thought Flippy wanted the young upstart Solomeno- does this mean the bright young man will be replaced at the Freholder meetings henceforth, by the nice lady, to carry John's water in search of the bi-weekly headline??..only time will tell..

Art, can you help us with the corrcet pronunciation of the new opponent's last name?.. is it: Ven-nab-blah, Ven-ables, or something else?..am always happy when an opponent's name doesn't easily roll off the tongue..( and maybe doesn't stick so easily in a voter's mind)..

If 11 votes is 10% it was a small crowd.

true, how to spell "LOSERS".. hope they like it.. they deserve it, for sure..

rumor is that Solomeno is strongly considering running the primary - I think a strong grassroots campaign, he could beat Venables. He should do it.

oh, yes, please, some inter-party strife on THEIR side, this time!!

Everyone seems to think that Damico (FLIPPY) IS A SHOE IN TO WIN AGAIN. On the contrary, flippy has been known to put his foot in his mouth quite frequently and also loves the spotlight. I think the Dems should be very worried as Ms Venables is a good choice but flippy has the potential to ruin not only his campaign but hers as well just by association. Also, with this being the absolute best chance to win the Sheriffs seat why do you pick a guy who has no name recognition and w/no law enforcement background (sure municipal prosecutor but thats just a lawyer with a hook)

the more "troubles" they have, the more division, the better I like it!!

a lot of similarities between Halfacre and Solomeno, they both are very cocky, arrogant and vindictive. They feel like they are both entitled to this. That is why they both lost even though they had been campaigning since November.

Solomeno is very, very inexperienced and very young. He is 25. A friend of Frank Pallones doesnt make up for the fact you 3-4 years out of college.

hes actually 24, has no experience in budgeting, money, staff management, business or government. He was an intern or fellow at something in pallone for a few months, he really has no experience. He was also the campaign manager last year for the Hazlet Dems who lost control of the town. He was a GOP dream to run against but unfort. the Dems picked a pretty good candidate - only problem is they also picked FLIPPY JOHN who will bring venables down with her.

we dodged a bullet on this one. while flippy's three pensions are going to take him down, google the kid: army service, fullbright scholar, truman scholar. this is no lightweight. queen burry should watch her seat.

he just turned 24 and needs 10 years to be taken seriously.
