Monmouth U/Gannett Poll: NJ Dissatisfied With DC

But Don't Think Change In Leadership Will Make A Difference

Patrick Murray's Monmouth University Polling Institute released a poll this morning that indicates NJ residents are dissatisfied with what is happening in Washington, but still have an overall favorable view of President Obama, their Senators and Members of Congress and don't think a Congressional leadership change in Washington will make a difference. You can find Murray's report here.

While the poll is an interesting snap shot of New Jersey's mood about Washington...dissatisfied and resigned...I doubt even Murrary would consider this poll predictive of what will happen in the November election.

Murray polled 801 adults, randomly selected statewide, including people who are not registered to vote. A predictive poll would survey likely voters.

Politicos might interpret this poll as a predictor that turnout will be low this November. The poll indicates that residents are dissatisfied but that they don't think their vote will make a difference.
