Pallone Skips His Own "Town Hall" Meeting

What a difference a year makes!

Last August thousands of NJCD-6 residents came out to Congressman Frank Pallone's Town Hall Meetings in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties. There is a video from the Monmouth 2009 meeting on the sidebar.

This year Pallone decided to hold short one on one meetings with his constituents at his offices in New Brunswick and Long Branch. The New Brunswick session was scheduled for 4 PM-7PM yesterday. Long Branch is scheduled for next Monday the 16th, also from 4PM-7PM.

Not only was turnout in New Brunswick underwhelming, but Phoney Palloney himself wasn't there!

MoreMonmouthMusings arrived outside Pallone's New Brunswick office at 4:30. From the street there appeared to be about 20 people sitting in the office. There was a small group outside the office in orange T-shirts promoting newlabor.net

At 4:45 Jill Pantozzi, who writes thenerdybird.com blog, emerged from Pallone's office. Pantozzi declined to appear on camera but was nice enough to tell us that the Congressman was not present. He was on a train two hours away and called in. He was addressing the small group of constituents who came to see him one on one via speaker phone.

MMM did not stick around the two hours to see if Pallone showed up for the last fifteen minutes of his scheduled "Town Hall."

Jose from newlabor.net did agree to talk to MMM on camera.

Unreal. He scheduled the event at 4pm because he knew that working people would not be able to attend and then had the nerve to not even show up in person.

The man has been a Congressman in absentia far too long. It's time to boot this coward out of office no!

So is this NewLabor movement some kind of union alternative for illegals who can't join unions?

I find a couple of shots of bourban first thing in the morning makes those shakes go away.
