Would I be correct in assuming that Sheriff Guadagno won't be working full-time while she campaigns for Lt. Governor? If so, can we expect her to resign and/or give up her salary for the next few months? Will she put in an honest day's work for an honest day's pay or will she simply screw the taxpayers of Monmouth County?

Previous anon poster ... I love this double standard. No Lib complained that Hilary and Obama were absent for 2 years in the Senate while campaigning for president.

I see that Cristie has endorsed the very wise latina, Sonia Sotomayor for SCOTUS associate justice. Sotomayor is Ruth Bader Ginsburg with an extra 50 lbs and a tan.

Get real Mr. Cristie! This is either naked pandering to get the hispanic vote or you are showing us that you are not a conservative.

There's no double standard. All politicians should give up their public salary while they are campaigning full-time. It would be better if they just resigned, but that is far more than anyone could hope for.

I'll lay odds that Kim Guadagno doesn't have the character to give up her Sheriff's salary during the months that she will be campaigning. Keep that in mind when Christie & Guadagno are telling you how hard they will fight corruption in New Jersey if elected.

Cal, most have long known that Chris "My Political Views Have Evolved" Christie was not a conservative in real life. Incidentally, what sort of "technical problems" do you think Christie's web site encountered that forced them to remove the "Shared Values" portion? Funny how those technical problems only devolved after the Republican primary was over.

Union County Undersheriff, Joe Cryan, who also serves as the State Dem Chair as well as an Assemblyman gets to do all those jobs while receiving his full-time Undersheriff salary. At worst, Sheriff Guadagno is using those government provided, over-generous personal and vacation days that such employees are allowed to bank. On the other hand, Cryan is allowed to perform his Assembly duties while being paid as a full-time Undersheriff. Who knows if he performs State Democratic work while performing his Undersheriff duties as well. Afterall, who would object?

Exactly, NFS, good points and all true.. the typical double-standards for the GOP..if anyone griping about Kim is a Rep., shame on you- name ANY politician that doesn't spend part of their elective time getting RE-elected!.. they also have staffs and their own time, too.. do you want to win, or not??.. let the D's throw the barbs..and, please stop making me think it's the "good Reps" from "Beck-ville" showing their immaturity and sour grapes, again!- not attractive, we're SUPPOSED to be a team!- so, suck it up and show some teamwork that isn't all about you -all,for once!..

Thanks Anon 8:21. And I just bet that Sheriff Guadango is actually recording her time away from her office. Does Cryan do the same? Union County has, to say the least, sloppy personnel record keeping, especially when it comes to politically connected employees.

Anon 10:49 - when should Corzine resign? Or will he simply screw the taxpayers of New Jersey...oh wait - he does that anyway...

By the way - your logic means that the entire state assembly should resign as well. hmmmm.....

You would excuse Kim Guadagno's corruption because others in New Jersey are also corrupt?
