From NJBiz:
Garden State Equality, the most vocal supporting organization, cited a 2008 study by the University of California, Los Angeles, that the bill would bring $248 million over three years to the state.
The study estimated 45,831 same-sex couples from other states would come to New Jersey to marry, generate $19 million in local government revenue alone.
I wonder how you come up with an estimate of 45,831.

Yes but what would be the cost to the State in increased medical costs.
Homosexuals have documented higher rates of Psychosis, neurosis, depression ,alcoholism, drug addiction (not to mention the additional physical problems that come with those conditions) STD's, Males have higher rates of serious gastrointestinal disease and hepatitis not to mention HIV.
The average life expectancy of a Male Homosexual is 20 t0 30 years less then that of a heterosexual.
stop, stop, please!.. the worst inequality, which NO one addresses, (because they are so hung up on the "sex-part," I guess), is: WHY can gay, unmarried partners now get the medical benefits, while committed, long-term,unmarried HETEROsexuals are NOT able to get them?? it is,frankly: BULLSHIT!..
I guess it is because heterosexual couples are choosing not to marry while same sex couples do not have that choice.
Bingo! same sex couples do not have the choice because marriage from its inception 10,000 years ago or so has and is only between a man and a woman. Sorry folks but if you are gay be gay and stop trying to pretend you are hetro.
wake up: it's the ridiculous "PC to the Extreme" that lets the gays get benefits, but not long-time hetero couples.... why should people HAVE to marry if they don't want to for various reasons, but are there for each other, and one wants to share their benefits??..we are now, thanks to the libs, statists and socialist wackos, separate and UNequal to those who are traditionalists and who pay the bills, and we're plain sick of it!!
