Another Republcian Candidate in CD 12

The Times of Trenton is reporting that David Corsi of Hopewell Township will compete with Mike Halfacre and Scott Sipprelle for the GOP nomination in CD 12.

Corsi owns a real estate firm in Oceanport and ran for congress as an Independent against Rush Holt and Alan Bateman in 2008.

I guess he has a lot of time on his hands, what with the real estate market being in the tank and all. His first campaign must not have been very effective - I never heard of the guy - or his real estate office for that matter. My advice - take up golf.

I met Corsi during his last campaign and saw him speak at a recent tea party. He is very knowledgeable in economics, taxes, etc. He is the most qualified of all of them.

The social conservative enters the race.
Sipperelle and Halfacre split the rinos and Corsi will go to Washington.

predictions in the worst Democratic year possible.

Holt (51%) vs. Sipperelle (47%)

Holt (55%) vs. Corsi(43%)

Holt (58%) vs. Halfacre (39%)

Sipperelle's the strongest candidate because he's not a multi-pension holding career politican and he can self-fund, he runs a positive message and in a year of the economy he can do the best.

Corsi can draw the base out big, he would be the 2nd best candidate.

Halfacre is the worst of the bunch. He's a phony. He'd do the worst.

Despite everyone's efforts, Holt will win. Monmouth Dems et. scudiery, caliendo, gopal, wisneiwski, cryan are focused on protecting holt.

Those are some real movers and shakers. If the Dems couldn't protect Kennedy's seat, there's no way that motley crew can protect Holt. It will be brutal - possibly a double-digit loss for Holt in a year that will only get worse for Dems.

Holt is in real trouble this year. He is the consumate liberal democrat. Last time out independents where mad at republicans. Especially conservative ones. This time out they are mad at liberal democrats. While it is by no means "in the bag" Any one of these three candidates can beat Holt. They all bring different strentghs to the table.
I will vote for the one who espouses fiscal and social positions closest to the ones that I hold.
This primary race should be about one thing and one thing only.
the Issues.

So close to Halfacre in so many ways.... real estate, titles, closings ... not to mention a stone's throw from his office.

Can't help but wonder if this is just a willing 'spoiler' to not only get the focus off Halfacre now, but also split the anti-Halfacre vote, assuring him more of a chance in the primary against Sipprelle...

I wonder.....if a municipal prosecutor cannot try a big case because of conflict of interest, does he return a portion of the monies awarded to him in his annual contract? Rumson's municipal prosecutor is Halfacre, and now they have to pay an assistant to try the case of the Fair Haven Fire Chief's recent accident and related incident there when he jumped off the bridge after crashing the town-owned vehicle. Is Halfacre going to be deposed? Was there a prior incident that Halfacre knew about and swept under the rug? Could this have been prevented if the guy got help earlier? Could the town of Fair Haven be sued? I don't know, but ya gotta wonder about these things.

more the merrier, people seem to be getting that this blue, blue state may just be waking up a bit!

I agree; "the more, the merrier".

How dare Halfacre come off thinking he 'owns' the nomination by being the first candidate to come out? Personally, I think it was the stupidest move he could have made. Spun his wheels for a year to gain name recognition so people could have time investigate his background and see that this guy is NOT a fiscal or social conservative. Made himself a bigger target for Holt; he would get creamed.

Halfacre just spent over a million dollars of hard-earned taxpayer money buying a piece of riverfront property for a 'passive park'.... in this tough economy...after he said he wouldn't do it before possibly getting grant money. He speaks down to people at public meetings, especially women. And what does he do when he has a tough decision? HE FLIPS A COIN!! Seriously, does he think he can 'Bateman' everyone? The man is dangerously delusional...and Holt's dream opponent.

The GOP can't afford to waste this opportunity on this egomaniac.
