There has been a trend in the Monmouth GOP over the last three years to purge an incumbent Freeholder.
In 2005, Ed Stominski was dumped by Chairman Bill Dowd during a meeting at Judith Stanley Coleman's farm. This lead to Dowd's ouster as Chairman and Rob Clifton became Freeholder.
In 2006, Chairman Fred Niemann used the threat of a screening committee to force out Ted Narozanick in favor of the Mayor of Howell. Yet the county convention nominated Andrew Lucas instead and Barbara McMarrow became Freeholder.
In 2007, Chairman Adam Puharic ousted Anna Little. Jeff Cantor was nominated and John D'Amico was elected.

I hope we can make it 100% of incumbent bouncing this year! Goodbye and good riddance to Lilly and Billy.
Suicide by inches, is just not pretty,especially as comitted by incompetents, especially when it is we,the old GOP, who built and run a great county.. especially when, instead of reaching out to all ages and groups,to embrace and discuss differences in approach and tactic like grownups, we get ongoing, childish, personal attacks, alienation, (with the focus only on the few "checkbooks" who can still write them),on $$ over people, and constantly hear threats of whom is hated now/ next, and who needs to be "cleansed and purged,"like some kind of an "anorexic or bulimic" mentality, at every appearance/ event/ meeting.. this is illness: it's political sadism and masochism at its worst, and it must end, this June, if not sooner,if not already too late.. (and I ain't speaking one word about the D's,here).., sadly, the enemy's within, and there's no sign of it stopping..watch Re-org..watch appointments, watch us waste ourselves some more,this coming month, and going forward..in this season of supposed peace and joy, we feel sad, helpless, and, yes angry..we need an experienced, non-agendized,non-egotistical, decent,realistic, leader, to step in soon,and let the healing begin, or we can start just booking the dreaded and proverbial "phonebooths," from now on..people,please don't stay silent or away: if you care at all, step forward, say/write/call/do something, and let's start getting this right, again!..
