Fort Bend Rastaboy

There’s a Rastaman style blog making waves in Texas’s 22nd congressional district, cd22watcher. The blog promotes the candidacy of former Sugar Land, Texas Mayor Dean Hrbacek, who is seeking Tom Delay’s old seat in congress, and trashes Hrbacek's opponents.

The bloggers have an interesting challenge in their blog profile:

About Me
Some interested observers of local politics. We are relatively young techno geeks roaming in your midst. Doing this just for fun and entertainment.

P.S. to those trying to guess who we are... you'll never get it right. But we'll give you a hint. There are three of us. All guys. One Aggie. Two graduated out of state. One married. Two single.

I’ll take a guess:

The bloggers are Monmouth County’s clandestine political operative, Scott Broschart, and his buddies, Drew Lawson and Michael Miller.

Broschart is Hrbacek's campaign manager.

Maybe the frequent Texas visitor to MoreMonmouthMusings will comment.

Someone should tell Broschart that they sell guns at WalMart in Texas. He’s not in New Jersey anymore.

Fortunately for Scott, his political opponents have responded with only a funny parody of his blog, cd22rubbernecker.

Ha Ha Ha . I gotta admit the cd22 rubbernecker site is pretty funny even though it makes fun of Republicans. The writer would be even funnier if they were making fun of democrats.

Whats with all the links back to Monmouth County websites?

I don't know. Maybe daTruthSquad is writing the cd22rubbernecker site.

Hey Art!

Thanks for giving us the scoop on the 3 stooges. Some of us in Fort Bend County, Texas have been following the continuing saga on www.KissMyBigBlueButt.com. I don't think those 3 youngsters have ever encountered a Texas rattlesnake as mean (and funny) as Susan. Maybe they'll learn ya' have to keep your distance to avoid gettin' bit!

Y'all come visit now, ya hear!

Hey -- I went to that cd22watcher site and looked around. Looks to me more like they're bashing Nick Lampson the Dem the GOP is trying to defeat down there in 2008. I don't get the Hrbacek thing at all. But I'm sure he's glad for the free publicity and name ID on the rubbernecker site! :)

Nice of you to drop by Scott.

Mr. Hrbacek is about to get a load more free publicity on my site, as is Mr. Broschart.

But I'm not exactly sure it's the kind they are seeking...

Good catch by you boys up there on the Jersey shore, which seems to be, if my powers of analogical perception serve me, a parallel version of Fort Bend County two years ahead on the space-time continuum.

Exclesior. No matter what side of the aisle you hang your hat (you do wear hats up there, right?), we can all agree that creepy dudes deserve to be caught.

We wear hats up here Miz, and we're tipping them to you!

Keep up the great work!
