This photo was taken during a trip Obama took to Somalia. As is common for elected officials visiting other countries, he tried on some traditional local garb - in this case, that of a Somali chieftan.
So beyond showing that Obama went to Somalia and did what is usual for traveling politicians, this picture is intended to show exactly what? And it is posted exactly why?
I posted this on another site in response to someone claiming that Obama shouldn't be called the "Seinfeld" candidate because he "has something to say."
Yes, he does. Here's one of his programs. He stated that he wants to give a tax credit of $4,000 to the family of every child attending college. Sounds great. Probably gets lots of votes. Let's look at it closely, you know, as if someone experienced were actually thinking about this. There are 17.5 million American students attending college. Multiply that by $4,000 (because remember, a credit is not a deduction, it's cash and, like Yogi says, that's just as good as money) and you have a grand sum of $70 billion dollars per year taken out of the treasury. Now let's see what we get for this. Well, the fact is, there are far more wealthy kids attending schools than poor kids, so right off the bat, we can assume the bulk of this money will go to wealthy families. Is Obama a republican? Wait, there's more. You see, this is supposed to enable students to attend college. Private schools today cost $40,000 a year. So how many kids are going to be able to do that if they can just get that last $4,000 as a tax credit? The answer probably is not zero, but I'll bet it's close. If you examine all of Obama's ideas, you reach the same conclusion. They make great headlines. They are worthless, because no one has thought them out. Why should they? The press isn't challenging anything he says. He's for "hope" and the "future." I presume that means that Hilary and McCain are against hope and against the future? Now you understand why he's the Seinfeld candidate.

"More Monmouth Musings is a must-read. Art Gallagher skillfully covers local, state and national affairs and his blog is a definite stop on the daily news round up. "MMM is a great source of insider gossip and news in the conservative wing of the Republican Party and the Tea Party. I don’t agree with everything I read, but I keep taking a look- it is definitely entertaining. However, MMM would be better and could have far greater credibility if Art Gallagher didn’t display his biases quite so obviously and ran an unbiased forum for discussion. I thought it was interesting that both men wear their watches so high on their arms.
