So, right now, at 11am, its up over 175 points. What is your point with this?
Do you think that this economic slide would just reverse itself after Obama's election? I don't think you did. I think it was you just trying a cheap shot for show.
You and the rest need to let him take the oath first before you can blame him for anything. I have even seen that there are numerous "Impeach Obama" sites up already 2-1/2 months before he takes office. This is the republican/conservative mentality?
There's something wrong with that thinking when you're that bitter that you start a website for impeachment before he even gives his first speech as President.
I think there is more downside to come, especially toward year end when whoever has gains takes them to avoid higher capital gains taxes.
That being said Rick, why did you interpret the O shit as a poke at Obama rather than a poke at Wall Street? I wasn't taking a cheap shot at anyone. I posted it because I thought some people would find it funny and that it would evoke this predictable reaction from you. :-)
The only things I have posted about Obama so far, McCain's concession speech and today's post about Corzine have been positive towards Obama.
I am actual pleased with him so far. I thought his speech on Tuesday night sent the right message. I like Rahmbo Emmanuel for Chief of Staff. His appointment puts to rest my worst fears. That Corzine is apparently not in line for Treasury shows good judgement on O's part.
I hope Obama governs more like Clinton than like Carter. Indications so far is that he will be a center-left President and that the lefty loons will be more upset than I will.
"You and the rest?" I think your rant is misplaced and you are revealing yourself to be more closed minded than me.
Wait a second Art..your headline reads "Wall street reacts to the election" and then there's a huge O with shit underneath and you claim that has nothng to do with Obama? Didn't you post that up? I'm not going nuts with that assumption...it was natural to assume that you meant the Obama election and wall street's downturn. Unless, of course, there was another election I missed.
I also like the choice of Emmanual for COS. He was the engineer of the 2006 takeover and I think he'll keep them in line to accomplish some things this time around. Clinton, for as much as I like and admire him, wasted the first two years of his administration when he had a Democratic congress and because of infighting and missteps, couldn't get anything done. He then learned to work with congress and accomplished some very good things.
I also thought that McCain's concession speech was top notch first class. Yet I had to wonder where that was during the campaign. As you know, and as I've said from the beginning, I had huge respect for McCain and could have voted for him. But somewhere along the way, he changed from a thoughtful, compromising agent of the people to a bitter old man. It was not becoming. The whole Palin pick was strictly politics to shore up his base, and was not in the best interest of the country. She would have made as bad a VP as the snake we have now.

I didn't say that. You must have gone to the same reading comprehension classes as Middletown Mike. :-D
The headline and illustration could be interpreted as a poke at O, Wall Street or both.
No Rick the impeach obama websites are not the mentality of Republicans or conservatives. It is the mentality of a couple of whack jobs. Just like the liberal/democrat whack jobs who pull the same kind of nonsense. So quit being so sanctimonius (ok so I used phonics to spell that one)
I for one am more then happy to give Obama time before I blame him for anything. I am very patient. Especially when I know the payoff is coming. Obama sounds great but 90 percent of his policies will wind up in disaster. No I will not be silly enough to call for impeachment I will just enjoy saying I told you so and getting a new president in 4 years.

"MMM is a great source of insider gossip and news in the conservative wing of the Republican Party and the Tea Party. I don’t agree with everything I read, but I keep taking a look- it is definitely entertaining. However, MMM would be better and could have far greater credibility if Art Gallagher didn’t display his biases quite so obviously and ran an unbiased forum for discussion. Anyway, I am glad that you haven't retired yet...

Hey Rick, I'm still lurking, you know.
My retirement was coming no matter the outcome.
Maybe I did....but at least I spell better than he does. (sorry Mike)
Shiver me timbers! (And me timber be a-shiverin') I thought the O stood for Oprah. Arrrrrrrrr!

I want to trademark the "Don't blame me, I voted for McCain" bumperstickers. I'll be the one person who will prosper during this administration.
