Weinberg and Florio on Corzine

"He's [Corzine] giving money to party bosses whose idea of party building is to keep themselves in power, to make more money and to urge the legislators from their counties to vote against reform."

- Senator Loretta Weinberg (The Bergen Record, 3/28/07)

"Mr. Corzine is a very useful person to a lot of those (Democratic Party Organization) folks, and obviously they are very useful to him. There is nothing illegal about it. It all depends upon your view of how politics should work. I'm uncomfortable with the perception, if not the reality, that the Democratic Party's for sale. This is not just my fight. This is a fight to stop the Democratic Party from becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs."

- Jim Florio ( New Jersey Reporter 4/2000)
