"Wally Edge" is reporting that the Star Ledger has been dumped as a sponsor and participant of the gubernatorial debate schedule for Friday at William Paterson University.
State regulations prohibit media sponsors of a debate from endorsing a candidate prior to the completion of the debate. The Ledger endorsed Independent candidate Chris Daggett over the weekend.
The news of the Ledger's removal as a sponsor and participant does not appear on the paper's website, NJ.com.
