Monmouth County Reorganizes Today

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a Sine Die meeting at 11 a.m. today in the Hall of Records.

This last meeting of 2009 is held to conclude financial, purchasing and other business matters for the year. The Latin term Sine Die means the final adjournment of a legislative session, without adjourning to a specific time or date; literally it means “adjournment without a day.” The term is most commonly used to signify the final adjournment of a session of Congress or State Legislature.

At 4 p.m., the Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold its annual organization meeting at the Monmouth County Police Academy at 2000 Kozloski Rd. On the agenda will be the swearing-in of John P. Curley as a member of the Board of Chosen Freeholders.

John did a great speech after being sworn in: he let people know who he is, where he comes from, how he deals with his illness, and some good ideas for the year..rather then the "barnburner" he can be on the trail, he was actually very on top of his first votes, made some funny jokes, and teased Amy, to rattle her.. we give him an "A" for his first day!!..and what a relief!!
