Gooch, Little File in CD 6

Two River Times publisher Diane Gooch and Highlands Mayor Anna Little have each filed their petitions to run the the Republican primary for the CD 6 nomination.

The Gooch campaign issued a press release touting their "nearly double the required amount of signatures." Gooch spokesman Tony Sayegh told MoreMonmouthMusings that the actual number of signatures on the Gooch petition was 355. Gooch has the party line in Monmouth, Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties, having picked up the Union line today after Shannon Wright suspended her camapaign.

Little filed petitions with 402 signatures and will appear on the ballot under the slogan "Republican Tea Party Approved," according to her spokeswoman Leigh-Ann Bellew.

Never approved or endorsed by any Tea Party! What a fraud.

Anna would have lost re-election for mayor of Highlands. She has no base. She is not the most viable candidate to run for congress in this cycle. Running and losing badly in a primary will be the final nail in her political coffin.

how do you know??.. plenty of regular voters consider themselves "tea party" members!.. looks to me like an actual "more than double the amount of needed signatures" signed for Anna.. hey, good for her, let her try..she sure knows the issues, and is a ten-times better speaker...( than either Diane OR Frank!).. what's true is true, and anything can happen this year..

Have heard that many tea party's are actually angry at Little's use of that slogan considering none have formally endorsed her. Good for Anna... she will continue to give us all some nice laughs for another couple of months.

tsk, tsk said...

laugh all you wish, but why would you folks continue to trash her, if she's so irrelevant?..I say anybody who makes strong statements against the horrible record of Frank Pallone is doing the party and the country a lot of good..it's actually sad that the Little-haters can't get past her former success.. it's such a "distraction", here when we're trying to take down one of the architects of the ruination of our country!.. how petty and small, guys..

Hmm.... Actually I think she has support of the T's. I had heard the Ts got about 100 of her 400 signatures, if thats not approval I don't know what is. Anna has a new army.... watch out :-D.

They do not like little because she isn't a party puppet. Too bad for us the dems and RINOs set up the system to keep out honest individuals who would serve the public. This way the party apparatus can control the political patronage game.
