Gooch Concedes, Announces Support Of Little

The CD-6 GOP primary is over. Diane Gooch announced today that she would not seek a recount and that she is supporting Anna Little in her quest to send Frank Pallone back to Long Branch or into his new career as a lobbyist.

Gooch issued the following statement on facebook:

Having carefully reviewed the final count for the CD6 Republican Primary, I have decided against asking for a recount. I am grateful for the experience I have gained in running and for all of the wonderful new friends I have made along the way.

I support Anna Little in her effort to become the Republican Congresswoman for CD6. We both want smaller government, lower taxes, and to encourage job growth through the private sector. Today, I step out of the race for Congress in CD6 and voice my support for Anna Little for Congress.

Little issued the following statement:

For myself and on behalf of the voters of the 6th District, I humbly accept Diane's concession and once again congratulate her on a well-run, hard-fought primary campaign. Diane and I share a vision for the 6th District of free markets, smaller government, lower taxes and economic freedom that is and has been the antithesis of Frank Pallone's 22-year regime. I feel confident that in working with Diane and the 6th District Republicans who supported her stellar campaign, we can make that vision a reality in November and, together, become the people's voice for real change in Washington.

All of us moving forward have a common goal and that is to end the reign of Frank Pallone over the 6th District. His policies and philosophy have consistently undermined the fundamental liberties of the people of the 6th District and have predictably resulted in an overbearing tax burden, crushing business regulation, unbearably high unemployment and now the single greatest encroachment of personal freedom in American history, the recently passed health care bill.

This is the year we retire Frank Pallone. This is the year we take our government back. With an ally like Diane Gooch in the people's corner, there is nothing we can't accomplish together.

Well done Diane, eminently classy. Congratulations Mayor Little.

I honestly don't think that Pallone stands a chance against a Little/Gooch onslaught.

To November we go...

This is wonderful news! Anna Little is a proven winner and a principled leader who says what she believes and acts accordingly. Congratulations to Diane for not delaying the important work ahead of us -- defeating Frank Pelosi and electing Anna Little to Congress!

Congratulations to Mayor Little. It should be a fun campaign season. But I do have one question for you...Take back the government? I thought "our" government has been in place for about 18 months now....

Oh, I get it...like we took it back from you...I see now. I mean, it really hasn't gone anywhere except in the other party's hands...so I can see why YOU would want it back. Although, it didn't really work that well when you had it, so I hope you don't get it back for awhile. But, like all the cyclical things in life, you will certainly get it back someday and you will get your chance to screw it up again. Not too worry.

Yeah like you people are doing such a good job Ambro
LOL

Once again, in time together.. said...

now, since the two ladies have been both classy and professional, and focused on the goal of winning in Nov., and with Anna supporting Joe for Chair, and Joe leaving Diane as Vice Chair, can EVERYONE ELSE PLEASE follow their favorite leader and do the same, so we can get past all the acrimony and give the Dems the throttling in Nov. they so richly deserve???

This is great news and should finally allow us to get on with the important business of getting rid of Holt and Pallone in November. A united front of Republicans/Tea Party folks, Independents and Democrats who care about their country will be unbeatable. Keep in mind, Bob Mcleod, a brilliant judge who was a complete unknown and didn't lift a finger during the last campaign against Frank Pallone lost 65%-35%That's a 15% swing that we need to achieve this time around. With Anna's name recognition, the energy and efforts of the Tea Party at the ground level, the attention the national media will focus on the race,Pallone's embrace of all of Obama's horrible socialist policies and a higher than normal voter turnout - 15 points is certainly within our grasp. And Ambrosiar - we are going to "take back our government" from people who are trying their best to dismantle everything that made this country great and turn it into some secular socialist cesspool. If I wanted to live in Greece, I'd move there.

ambrosiajr why don't you give it up. This is a critical year and we need nothing but positive comments. Anna will do an outstanding job - what is meant by 'taking back the government' is taking it back from a controll of the democrats! be part of the problem or part of the solution!

Funny how all these brave posters are anonymous. You guys talk real big but can't back it up with your names? Why are you hiding? Scared to have someone know how you really feel about things? Man up once in a while.

ambrosiajr - you are one step away from ringing Republican doorbells and running away, or challenging someone to a rumble in the park after school. Why do you bother to post such drivel - especially when it has nothing to do with Art's original post? You better wake up to the fact that your beloved liberal, socialist Democrats are about to get their clocks cleaned. The drubbing they will get this year will make 1994 look like a game of touch football at a company picnic. Go Anna, go Scott and God speed to every Republican on the ticket. When Republicans act like Republicans, they are unbeatable.

Bravely spoken.

You see, I don't have to ring doorbells and run away. I don't hide, unlike you. Again, what are you scared of?

We took back our government in 2006 and 2008. Like I said, its all cyclical and you'll get your chance to screw it up...again.

we know we will, because ever since we've had the US two-party system, it's been easier to be the Dems, who give away our money the most, and when the folks realize it's they who pay for it all, they wake up and vote GOP, so there's some sanity for a time.. then, soon as Rep's start acting like Dems, we blow it, and lose, and the cycle begins again.. that's why this year and 2012 will be our fun, then you'll get to screw it all up, yet again!!.. no wonder Ambro has fun with all of us, he's gonna need something to do this go-round, while we get back in and try and fix stuff for a while!!

this race is the one being talked about this week in AC, at the NJ Assoc. of Counties.. this is a chance to not only defeat an entrenched, sick lib, but to be on the cutting edge of a new DC revolution!.. if '94 was amazing, and it was, I can see 2010 being even better!..
