Stealth Freeholder Candidate

Watch for a yet to be mentioned candidate emerge and take Amy's seat.

Neither DiBella, McKenna or Peters will get the appointment, but one of them will get Ted's spot on the ticket. Let's see if Fred can prevent a primary.

I've heard a "Little" about that too!

Yeah, it's not a "small" secret about it. I hear it's in the "Bank."

I think the dark horse in this contest would be the best possible candidate for the GOP and the worst for the Dems to have to face. Warm and appealing, smart and experienced...without being tied to this draconian machinery that the most likely comers would, I think she would be a problem to beat.

She would have to be countered with a really smart, balanced ticket and a campaign team that knew what they were doing. I don't have a lot of confience there's that on the D side of the aisle right now. There are some good candidates, but the inevitably don't end up getting supported in the conventions and then the campaign teams are truly horrible...the idiot cousins of North Jersey poli0ticos really.

The one we are talking about would be fresh and down to earth and I think the people backing her are pretty much the smartest left on the GOP chess board, by way of actually knowing how to win campaigns. That one would be damn hard to beat, which usually means that they couldn't be if they are from that side of the aisle. Always the optimist, I will not say "never," just "probably not" with9out a good strong campaign.

Peters comes off mean and elitist (not gonna play countywide with the Dems REALLY dropping the ball, as in not getting out of bed to show up). McKenna has made his enemies and a General might not be good to him. Schomacher doesn't have the presence, DiBella has made a lot of enemies. All the rest of them were just whistling Dixie anyhow.

You and I agree, without discussion!

Word is that Howell and Middletown have teamed up to support each others' candidates (DiBella & Peters) for the two seats. Nothing official on that, though.

If so, that would be good strategy on their parts to get the canidates on the ticket. Unfortunately it would also result in a week ticket in November. Unger and perhaps Slegia (sp?) could beat them.

I wonder if Two Rivers and Wall will follow suit and make a deal for Little and McKenna.

This will be fun

I don't discount Carton's ability to bring out his votes, or Kelly's ability to mobilize Howell. But, the 2-River group is a potent force and there are still plenty of votes out there.

The folks over there are becoming very legitimate power brokers and king makers. Heck, ask Lillian Burry. If Middletown and Howell bring it, then it's over. If they can't, then that would be an upset.

If 2-River gets its way again...then they have to start being part of the dialogue.

Toomey might as well not exist. He is ridiculous. Matawan isn't going to "happen" again unless the "powers that be" need something seriously enough (loike a train station from a GOP financier). Robby jumped on a badwagon over a good Republican's corpse, made available by a bunch of errant lawyers and a moronic senator who needed funding.

"AL" could do it. Hopefully, from a Dem persepctive, Rosie and Little Joey make it, because they have more luggage than Samsonite. But, it's a hope.

If 2-River is lucky, Dems are shot in the ass. If they fail then the Dems are looking good. The pendulum will swing...promise folks. I say that only because "hiding in plain sight" is the best way to get the Devil's Advocates going.

Think about it. If I'm right, then I'll get a losing ticket out of you people. In your heads...yeah... thought so.

Sleep Well.
