$22 Million For Snow Removal

Governor Corzine told the Associated Press that yesterday's storm cost the State between $2.5 and $7 million. So far this winter New Jersey has spent $22 million on "frequent snow events."

Snow event. I don't believe I've ever heard that term before. Snow storm, blizzard, angel's dandruff I've heard. Snow event is a new one.

I wonder how much it would have cost to clean up these snow events if there had been no "prevailing wage" in effect.

Corzine over 8 million on his dumb 800% toll hike that could have made a nice dent in this expense

Seriously, how did we not have the money for this planned and saved out?

I know the last few winters haven't been as bad, but this winter isn't much different from the ones that we are more or less used to.

This is just an example of incredibly poor planning by Corzine and his administration.

is anyone surprised?.. it appears that ANY fund/account/budget gets drained by these criminals on bureaucracy, self-perpetuation,, useless grants, studies, and failed programs, not to mention the outrageous amount of uncontrolled "charity-care," ( the new term for the bloated "uncompensated care" of 20 yrs. ago, that started at about $125 million, and now is well into the billions): hence, more reasons for these deficits.. that's what's breaking the hospitals with all the non-payers, and driving the good medical professionals the heck out of Jersey.. what a mess..
