Gooch Wins!

No, not the CD-6 primary.

The Sayreville Car Show!

Notice the dealer ad in the front license plate bracket. Notice the guy who didn't win in the background.

So let me get this straight. Diane buys a vintage Cadillac from a dealer known for selling fully restored, high quality classic cars. Not a bad idea. The car can be used in parades, etc. A car like that probably sold for about $22K, knowing Frank, the owner of the dealership, and according to Cars of Particular Interest. No big deal. Spare change in the bank account, as Mickey would say.

Taking the car to a show is even a nice touch. Relate to the people, draw them over to look at the car, give them a Gooch button and some literature.

But to enter the car in a competition, against blue collar folk saving and toiling to restore their babies, win the competition and then promote that on your campaign facebook page?

Who is advising Diane?

Gooch campaign slogan s/b "Let Them Eat Cake". Shame how a heavy checkbook can open these types of doors for you as her entry was not earned, merely purchased.

"who is advising Diane?"

The most feckless bunch of consultants $80,000 can buy, apparently.

Probably the same person who told her NOT to comb her hair and TO wear diamond earrings, as well as hold a copy of the 2 River Times, while asking for money in her very expensive slick brochure she mailed out with exciting pictures of her as a cheerleader, etc.

Must be nice to be able to throw around 30G on a whim to win a local car show.

And this is the woman the Republican Party thinks is representative of the people of the 6th District and who can beat Frank Pallone?

Are you freakin' kidding me?

saw a blog posting by a waitress in the Bayshore today, in which she is angry and disappointed at how "stuck-up" and patronizing DG and her fellow diners were at her restaurant and a carnival-type event afterwards, handing out cards to everyone BUT the waitresses and volunteers, who, of course, are voters!.. NOT good with the schmoozing, for sure..no matter how much they spend, it doesn't hide the plain fact she is NOT an "every regular guy/taxpayer/voter"!..

This blog is to Diane Gooch as the New York Times is to President Bush -- if he walked on water the headline would be "Bush can't swim." Diane campaigns all night at a local diner but entered her car in the contest. Awful. She didn't give cards to the waitress after campaigning at the diner for hours cuz she's such an elitist. Terrible. Oh, and her hair's not combed and I don't like her earrings. Plus, she was a cheerleader. Very solid case you Little people have built against her.

Actually it's right on the money.

Half of winning an election is defining your oppnent.
The other half is not letting trhem define you.

Don't you think the one who benefits is the guy restoring these cars, and be able to claim they sold and won awards?

Or did you just not think!

Congratulations for the purchase of an American Classic Car, restored by an Anerican and bought in America with American made money. Now that's just a sample of how to start building back America! and this blog knocks it?? What is happening here?

No, what it says is that she supports and profits from Big Oil and is intent on following the Republican dogma of keeping America enslaved to air-polluting fossil fuel producers.

The car is a perfectly anachronistic symbol of her 1950's mentality.

Keep shakin' them pom-poms, girl!

God bless her, let her enjoy it, but, despite all expensive efforts to say otherwise, too much time has passed since she was "one of us,".. the "little guy", and most voters just will never relate to her, or dump Frank for her.. is sad but true, she will be killed at the polls in Nov., if she gets the nod Tuesday, plain and simple..
