Changes Coming to MMM

I've been writing this blog for almost five years and think I'm finally getting the hang of it.

With over 3100 posts read by over 500,000 visitors, I think its time to time to make something of this blog.

Starting in early September, just as campaign season takes off, MoreMonmouthMusings will be moved off of blogspot.

The new domain is MoreMonmouthMusings.net. Someone in Australia bought MoreMonmouthMusings.com and wants to sell it to me for $500. That would mean that he or she would make more money off of MoreMonmouthMusings than I have in the last 4.5 years. He/she can have it. 500,000 visitors found this site via the blogspot address with little promotional efforts on my part. I think the .net domain will work just fine. The blogspot address will forward to the .net address.

Don't bother visiting MoreMonmouthMusings.net just yet. It is password protected while we develop the site.

Monmouth County and State Government will remain our focus, but we'll be expanding our coverage to cover more of the county than we have over the last 4.5 years. In addition to government and politics, we'll be writing about businesses and the economy, the arts and community events and organizations.

There will be a new feature: The WASTE LINE. This will be a reader driven forum where readers can report and discuss government waste, fraud and abuse at all levels of government, municipal, county, state, boards and authorities. The good stuff will be investigated and make it onto the front page.

Hat tip to the 12th legislative district team, Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande, Assemblyman Declan O'Scanlon and Senator Jennifer Beck who’s stopgovernmentwastenj.com has been taking anonymous tips to identity waste on the state level. And a big Hat tip to reader/commenter Freespeaker76 whose comment in the What The Truck? post inspired the idea of incorporating this feature into the new site.

And there will be ads. Hopefully lots of them. From businesses you will want to partonize and campaigns of candidates you will either love or hate. MMM has quite a few Democratic readers and their candidates can buy ads here too. Same price as the GOP candidates. Maybe Frank and/or Rush will buy ads. No one else will be writing as much about them as MMM will between now and November.

There will be ads on the top of the site, in between stories and on the side bar. We haven't designed The WASTE LINE yet, but there will be ads there too. The more ads we sell, the more people we will hire to deliver Fair and Biased News And Commentary.

Grace Cangemi has already come on board. In additon to contributing content as she has for quite some time (Grace broke the Big Joe Henry/Count Basie story that made statewide news back in May), she will be the Advertising Sales Manager. Welcome aboard Grace!

Want to be the among the first to advertise on MMM? Call us at 732-495-8988, or email Grace at findgrace@aol.com

Kudos Art, looking forward to it.

When the Anna show hits the big time it deserves, get ready for half a million a week.

Welcome aboard Frank/Rush lackeys! Gonna be a good summer!

Looks like you put on a few pounds since the last time I saw you. I guess hanging around the boardwalk with Matt Rooney all summer, eating ice cream and zeppoles while trying to figure out how to stop the Conservatives with Attitude! juggernaut has taken it's toll.

Michael, you're back!

It would never occur to me to try and stop Conservatives with Attutude. I like what you do. It's not what I do and we're not competitors.

In fact, we're partners in our commitment to getting Anna Little elected.

Here's an idea for you, just until November, join me in focusing on Frank Pallone and Rush Holt. There's so much material on those guys that the main stream media is not covering that I'll never get to all of it. After we've elected Little and Sipprelle, you can go back to the RINO hunt.

What do you say?

BTW, Matt hasn't spent much time on the boardwalk yet this summer. He was studying for the bar exam which he took last week.
